Such flatness should not be allowed in a Worlds route.
Why not? Shouldn't all types of riders be allowed a chance to be World Champion?
Yes. And that's why we had a flatish route last year. Anything flatter than that does not belong to the Worlds. If you want to be a WC but can't climb, try in the track. No climbs there.
Although I would prefer to see a couple more mountainous WC's, in general they seem to fairly reflect road riding. It's the aspect of UCI organisation that I'm quite pleased with.
Agreed, although I think this needs to be a little tougher, I don't mind a sprint finish, but if it was at least San Remo hard then there would be a chance for a break

I'm also going to Copenhagen but only to see the RR.
I'm really excited, especialy becuase it's in Denmark, I think that's a privilege. It's probably gonna rain (september in Denmark ) and if that's the case, there's surely gonna be lots of excitement. I'm looking forward with great expectations
It's difficult not to get hyped up when you happen to be in the area almost daily. I'm pretty sure I saw two of the Danish riders a couple of days ago. One of them was in full time trial equipment and wore the Danish national shirt.
So, yeah, the WC is coming up
The time trial route is pretty amazing, in my opinion. You can see parts of it here:
The TT route is definitely a pure Copenhagen PR route. They can't put the RR there so they just go all out with TT. Gonna be some great TV pictures if the sun is shining. Also those little bridges you see Rasmussen drive over is probably the biggest hills on the route.
Also, the fact that Hayden Roulston won on the RR route last year should give some indication of the "steepness" of the "hill".

I don't think it matters if its flat. The world should be a challenge, and with so many top class sprinters; Farrar, Cavendish, Greipel, Pettachi etc. all competing it will be a hard fast race.
Most years its one for the strong men, but everyone should get a chance. I want to see a proper mountain worlds, with a major climb.

He can't go because Italy doesn't select former dopers/riders related to doping cases. He's been said to ride for Kazakhstan, but nothing else has been said since.

The crazy thing is that they want Paolini in their super-clean squad
I feel that a route that is somewhat similar to the Ardennes classics. Relatively flat, but still with some minor hills. You would need to be able to climb to a certain degree, but also sprint if needed.
The Belgian will have a great team to win this with Gilbert , Van Avermaet and Boonen. But even so they need to drop the pure sprinters and the route won't help much.
I dont say its a route like last year, but still, its not THAT easy as someone says. Its not like Zolder. Im not sure at all that it is the pure sprinters like Cav that will win. Im more up for someone like Sagan or Hagen.
Anyways im looking forward to it a lot. Its so unrealistic that the World Champs now comes to those towns that I visit almost every day. Its hard to believe actually, still a little unrealistic. Obv im going there, and all days i think. Why not when its here? Fuck school that week.
The route for the TT is fantastic. Gonna be fantastic TV-pictures i hope. It should be, if the producers is doing the job good.
EDIT: And also people seem to forget, that if the weather is very bad the days with road races, it can be very hard.
