I'm a young Danish climber.

My dad is the manager of Tulip - Guinness, but the UCI won't allow me to race in his team so here I am.

1.bp.blogspot.com/-IzHLEqUK5dk/T7uNIb-gskI/AAAAAAAAAyQ/ut_HonV2S0U/s1600/himmelbjerget.jpg

This is where I first learned to ride uphill - The Sky Mountain in Eastern Jutland. Since then I've moved on to slightly bigger mountains Wink

I'm looking very much forward to riding in an international environment but still alongside other Danes, that can help me find my feet in the world of cycling. I'm confident that this team is the best fit for me in the whole peloton and hope that I will get the chance to compete against my father once or twice.

dont have so many reserves
combine things together, like Riders+Jersey, goals+calendar+results etc.
otherwise its fine
everyone does it differently.
Some people keep them simple. I like to go OTT with videos and everything

TCS conforming their third rider, WT out of sight

TCS can conform their third rider, the 18 year old German; Fabian Eichler. with this signing the World Tour is officially out of sight. this is because World Tour Teams are limited to only 2 pre-season transfers which TCS has now 3

The draft is coming up but I am currently resting at my home in Koln. I have a ride for next season and I a just waiting out for the draft to see who my team mates could be. I am looking forward to the trials of next season as it will be my first fully professional season. I will lay out the contract I was given a few weeks ago from the manager of TCS-Rabobank:

FABIAN EICHEL

Length: 1 Season
Amount paid: £4,000 per month
Team Role: Domestique/Young Rider
Signed: F. Eichel
Signed: SSJ2Luigi

something that I just realized, I'm not advertising anything, You are actually advertising my game by mentioning it multiple times in verious reports.

that was my plan to begin with Grin

TCS recognized by absence UCI WT wildcards unveiling

The TCS management has made some negative puplicity by there absence at the UCI WT wildcards unveiling. as ever other team was there to see if the got he wildcards or just too celebrate the event, TCS wasn't anywere to be found. this time the general manager had to say something about this issue: "because the team didn't want too be a WT team and because the option wasn't available at all, we decide to stay home and have the day off. we do salute all the teams that got a wildcards though."

also the team has announced that a list of teams that the are following during this season. the GM added this: "these teams are intersting because of their General Manager's backstory and there nationality of the team aswell as the sponsor's".

Heimdal's Corner - The Transfer Situation

So finally we got a few names on the riders, who are supposed to show me how to become a world class rider - and if I could end up being just on the same level as these guys I would be more than happy!

Luis León Sánchez is one of the riders in the peloton with the best instinct of when to attack, along with his great skills on the TT-bike he should be able to get the team some wins in the following year, and I will do my best to learn some of his tricks - after all I'm crap on the TT-bike and going pro I have to learn to distribute my energy better than in the Danish youth races - I can't attack every time the road has a slope anymore Wink

www.sn.dk/modules/xphoto/cache/98/253198_700_415_0_0_0_0.jpg

The other rider is a guy that I'm really happy to be riding alongside. Though you should have seen my father (who is the manager of Tulip - Guinness) when the UCi announced the last batch of contracts. At first he was thrilled to have signed Fuglsang, but them he realized that Chris Anker was lost for his team the next three years. I have never seen a man change his mood that fast. It was like he had just won the lottery but then was told there was a 90 % tax to pay

Anyway I'm happy to have a good guy like Chris to help me find my feet in the peloton. Since he is Danish like me and I grew up not to far from him I have met him a few times and he is a really funny and pleasant guy - and then he's a rider-type much like myself, so I should be able to learn a lot from him - and I really hope I will be able to help him in a race against my father (he has been quite cocky since he was granted the WT-license)

Draft Wave 2 finished, TCS signes two great riders

s01.s3c.es/imag/efe/2012/08/01/20120801-4738329w.jpg

Luis León Sánchez

A great Time Traillist with the abbility to finish in a breakaway. one of the manager's favorite riders
Palmares: 3 stages in the Tour, 2 top 10 in GT's GC (2010 Tour, Vuelta), 4 times NC Time Trail, 2 times Clásica San Sebastian winnar

static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Sport/Pix/pictures/2010/5/16/1274035106762/Chris-Anker-Sorensen-wins-006.jpg

Chris Anker Sørensen

our first Danish rider that signing with us after the Draft started (as Heimal was signed before the draft) his palmares is smaller than that of Sanchez's is but with a stage victory in the Giro, still someone that can take many more.

Youth Riders Comments

we asked our riders if that had any comments one the new signings. Heimal comment can be read here but we have Henkjan Knol's comment
Hi, it's Henkjan. You haven't heard of me much in the past weeks, but I of course followed the team, and it's signings. I'm happy about the signings the team did. Especially Sanchez has always been an idol of me. He's just fantastic, and I've cheered for him in his Rabobank time. Yes, indeed, I was a big Rabobank fan, and that's also why I'm glad that Rabobank is a minor sponsor of this team. But anyway, we where talking about the signings. Sorensen is another nice signing. I can't say that I cheered for him in the past, honestly, but I will surely do that the next years. I can say that I like his style of riding, he even won a Combativity award in the TdF with that. The only question I have is why there's no main sprinter yet? I think that I'm a good leadout, but I want to show that, and lead a good sprinter to the win. I can't do that if there's no sprinter capable of winning anything. Of course, the transfer period is still long, but there are less sprinters available than earlier...

Greetings,
Henkjan Knol

it seems that Henkjan has a part-time job as an fortune teller because .Sorensen hasn't won the Combativity price (yet). sadly Fabian Eichler wasn't available for contact as he somewhere doing something.

You can expect the next update to come when the next wave ends

A nice mix of Nationalities in your team Wink

SSJ2Luigi
4 Nationalities isn't really a big mix imo, should look at sporting they have 7 differant nationalities

As long as they all understand team orders that's all that matters Wink

Wave #3: National Champions mania

a new wave, new chances. TCS managed to sign three new riders that are there respectieve national champions and they happend to be from our sponsor regions.

Nicki Sørensen

Our first signing in the wave was the Danish National Champion: Nicki Sørensen. he will preform the role as supporter for our leaders. as a 3 times National Champion, 1 Tour stage and 1 Vuelta stage, he shows that he can win races too

www.radioshacknissantrek.com/sites/default/files/styles/rider-picture/public/rider-picture/wagner_robert_13_lr_.jpg
Robert Wagner

Our second signing in the wave was the German National Champion: Robert Wagner. he will be an addition to our understaffed spinting squad (with currently only Henkjan). he hasn't won to many big races but as national champ he surely will do that know.

images.wielerupdate.nl/news/3171.jpg
Pim Ligthart

Our third and last singing in the wave was the Dutch National Champion: Pim Ligthart. similair story as with Robert: also a sprinter, not many big wins but that is going to change this year, I can feel it.

that ends this wave and the wave's this year, but there is going to be hopefully one more news item before the year ends. the unveiling of the NC's jersey's for Luis León, Nicki, Robert and Pim. see you next time
