After the junction of 2 domestic teams within Australia and New Zealand, instead of following trends and traditions and using European technologies and equipment, team Pure Black - Genesys Racing has stayed with their local heritage, and employed sponsorship from the countries with which it bases itself in, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
Pure Black Racing
A New Zealand racing brand owned by Carl Williams. They are the sponsor of a small domestic team, and have a goal of competing in the Tour de France by 2015. In order to achieve this, they had to expand and think bigger. They join us and are co-sponsors of the team.
Genesys Wealth Advisors
A well sized company based in Victoria, Australia. After sponsoring small teams for 3 years, Andrew Christie, the company CEO decided it was time to join the big leagues of cycling and move to Europe.
SRAM
The main technical sponsor of the team, providing their Red Groupset and S series wheels for the team. With a worldwide market, yet a local orientation, SRAM is exactly what Pure Black Racing and Genesys Wealth Advisors strive to achieve.
Malvern Star
Australia's premier bicycle brand that has provided bikes to Team Genesys Wealth Advisors for the past 3 years, with many great and well earned successes. They join us and we hope to continue in the footsteps Team Genesys has made.
Pearl Izumi
One of the worlds leading Sports Clothing manufacturers. Its an honour to work with a company with such a long and rich history such as theirs.
Giro
Another American based company, they have the cycling helmet industry for almost a decade. We are honoured to have them on board and look forward to not only using their products, but also putting their new ones to the test as we double up and become their lead R & D development team.
We are very pleased to have such a well known group of sponsors, as we embark on this quest. No doubt it will be hard and bumpy, but with these companies there along side us, we know it will be made much smoother.

Almost there...
The season is almost underway, with only a few days left until the first rounds of the draft begin. The team have last pick, so it will be interesting to see who the team drafts and why.

Aaaand, the transfer season is a go.
And as usual, Mr Carl Williams is the one in the spotlight after his 'odd' drafting methods and short list. Nothing further can be revealed, exept that his signed rider, Sylvain Chavanel, has provoked a lot of controversy and comment. Only being signed a 1yer deal, however, it is believed he will lead the team over his 2 favourite terrains, Cobbles and Hills, and would thus be targeting Paris - Roubaix, Ronde van Vlaanderen, the Ardennes classics and his favourite race, the Tour de France.

With the next round of draftee's looming nearer, and Pure Black - Genesys having the first pick, speculation is starting to appear. Will they go for Nationalism? Or a specific type of rider similar to Chavanel? Or will they sign one of the big names to get their reputation up?
Only time will tell... |

Well obviously Pure Black - Genesys has decided to go with their home nationalities this drafting season. With Matthew Goss being there biggest signing so far. One has to ponder why though? Why didn't they just acquire him in the first round?
No official statements have been given nor taken yet, and so we believe only time will tell... |

I believe it is because of the contract length, but what do I know and with virtually a free pick for the draft

Luigi; I think I over analysed it a bit, but yes, the contract length was a factor.
Sutty; let's hope so |

Goss, Chavanel, and most likely Evans (if you pick him next round) will make a very strong team!

The only thing is that Evans has lower stats than before Tour, bt he could bring some victories to the team. |
