Its really difficult to watch this happen to Haig, commiserations to Abhi. At least it seems most others lost some amount of time as well.

At this point, I cant really be bothered about this season anymore. And it was so predictable.
Congrats to ryant and thanks for the report!

Thanks for the awesome preview, and thank you in advance Imladrik for the reports!
Huge race (which most are now), and even more so with a return to Le Tour Slightly weaker startlist than expected, which should be a good thing for Stüssi’s top-10 hopes, however there are a lot of 2nd and 3rd tier contenders so will have to hold out hope for a good result. Nur Hasan has some competition here, hopefully with 5 better sprinters we’re never in contention to make a train and he can have some luck wheel surfing.
Big storylines with Lecuisinier going for win #3, Groves defending green and Haig hopefully here to redeem his season and earn his salary.

Eh, not the most important time losses. Everybody except Sivakov and Phinney decided to phone it in today, so not the end of the world.
Nur Hasan rode really well, got involved in the intermediates and finished well too. Surprised we had any kind of train with the team we brought which is somewhat frightening, but what a lead out from loanee Silva! Maybe he should have been a part of Gaviria’s train in the Giro..
Thanks for the report and congrats ryan on the win, good to see your main man get a good win.

Really just have no idea what goes on with this game sometimes. Are riders just letting gaps go for no reason, or what? I'm not sure what causes this in this game version so often. Seeing Oomen struggling was especially bizarre. There's literally no obstacles on the course to cause anyone to struggle that way. Wasn't the least surprised to see Skjelmose with those behind unfortunately.
Seems like we're in for a very random Tour, much like the Giro. Unfortunate for those relying on the race.
Thanks imlandrik for following it all!

It really does suck to see all that time gap chaos with major GC favorites!
Boutopoulos in 3rd is a huge surprise for us. But a very welcome one. The rest of the team lost a lot of time. Not a Big issue, as we haven’t brought any GC riders. We are here to see if We Can steal some stage points.

Sucks to see the GC so affected by that split.
It doesn't matter much for us except for Formolo potentially missing out on the chance to get the yellow jersey in the hilly stages.
For the sprint, it's a decent start, but a podium would have been better. The train worked ok, but I wish the game with switch Kooij and van der Kooij around. With a higer flat stat, I think Kooij would be better as the penultimate lead-out.
Congrats, ryan!

Oomen has worked his entire career towards this moment. A chance to race the biggest race in the world. Then this happens on stage one. I don't even care about the points we lose here (it's over anyway), this just completely sucks for him.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

That could be two very handy minutes for Sivakov…
Commiserations to everyone with GC riders loosing time, and especially Abhi, as that Haig loss makes it difficult to see his way to the Paris podium.
Thank you for the report, Imladrik! Love to see the race running And congratulations, ryan. Should make for interesting decision making the AI on the hilly stage 2! |

At this point the MG meta should be to just ignore GC because it's completely unreliable. It's a joke really. Commiserations to everyone. PHL might still win the race, but I'll be surprised if it comes with a worthy points total.
Meanwhile Ackermann is well on his way to green

That's a very harsh stage 1, a shame for anyone with a GC who's immediately (partly?) screwed. Hoping Sony can do a Dauphiné and win 5 stages in a row soon. Higuita small hope for wearing yellow for a day or two also doesn't seem to be coming true now
Congratulations, ryant, and thanks for the first report, Imladrik!

We're happy to take the stage win and yellow jersey early doors, this first week will be pivotal for us so we need to take advantage of the favourable route.
Yates/Cullaigh is a gamble but there's enough stages for both to have a separate crack at things, although it's a risk to trust the AI will see things the same way I do.
Also big time losses for some of the favourites, sad to see as it is hard to get back into things and follow closely if it happens to you...

Seems like Aniolkowski really likes this flat finishes after a hard race as shown in MSR where he easily won the pack's sprint.
But today, instead of going for it themselves, it looks like our puncheurs were controlling the race for him and I'm obviously glad they chose that
Stage win and yellow jersey and our Tour is already almost a success after only two stages. Hopefully Aniolkowski will continue to be a strong presence in the sprints though.

Pretty messy sprint but good job by Ansons getting a stage podium and i also like tht Lecuisinier got a few points towards green (even if i think its unlikely he'll get that)

Karatsivis was out there. Can’t really expect much more/else. Would have been cool to see him in the KOM though.
Soulious would on paper fit this finale well, and similar riders proces that, but I suspect he will fight another day.
