Not so good today, missing out on bonus seconds. 6 riders in top 22, but none in the top 10

2nd stage win and enough of a gc gap that bonus seconds are not enough without an actual gap. Love it! Last stage is probably most likely to lead to those but this is an excellent situation
Thanks guys!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I'd be thinking of cancelling whatever streaming subscription I use to watch cycling and catching the last few hundred metres on YouTube at this point.
Congrats again knockout and thanks redordead for what is still good reporting despite bad racing, not an easy task!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Well that went from very good to absolutely horrible quickly. The entire team decided to give up. Kinoshita was bored and almost dropped while similar riders were in the top 10.
Strange race with a ton of riders from the same teams clutching up. The race doesn’t really work I Think. Regardless of how we perform.

Thank you for the great preview and first report, redordead!
Very anonymous for our team and Higuita, but in the end seventh is okay. Nothing spectacular, but hopefully around the place where he could finish in the final GC. We'll see how the AI treats the rest of the stages
Same but second report and sixth on the stage

Must admit I'm kind of surprised to see how poor we are in the decisive kilometers here. Feels like we're not able to prioritize Valter, or maybe even prioritizing Romo, who struggles a fair bit. Really hope we can make use of them on the final stage. Seeing we haven't managed to get any bonus seconds, I suspect we must hope for a selective stage, where Valter is attentive and part of the front of the race, to make this race a good one for us!
Congratulations again, knockout! |

On one hand I guess I should be happy that Aranburu attacked and showed himself. On the other hand it's a bold and pretty stupid strategy for the worst stamina puncheur in the peloton to try from 60 km out and expect anything good to happen. He hung on to the front group just barely in the end, but he's way way back on the countback for GC now. It seems pretty clear now that we won't get anything out of this race without a miracle. All our other riders got dropped.

Happy that working in the peloton was awarded with bonus seconds for Toms Skujins, now it's all about holding on during the last stage, which is definitely the hardest one and maybe to much to ask.
