Stavrakakis not really good here, which is a bit of a surprise given how he performed in Arenberg.

Good enough ride by Gerts, but with a rather big group at the finish it doesn't really matter. At least we got rid of some cobblers.

Interesting to see many cobblers drop time. Curious to see how it affects the cobble stage. Kind of fear they will all aim for the breakaway, and boomerang back into GC contention, as no team here should be able to control the top cobblers if they get away in a breakaway on the cobbles.
At least Wisniowski still holds a promising GC position, a pity all our possible depth points went out the window looking at the rest of our team. |

So it seems we are all in on a Pidcock/Swift tandem to get out anything from this race it seems after Summerhill again lost even more time. It does remain to be seen just how this race will play out but I hope the well roundedness of both Pidcock and Swift can mean both stay in and around the GC top 10.
It isn't all doom and gloom considering we could have been out of it almost completely already and I do hope this time loss can allow Summerhill to have a free role heading into the cobbled stage as well.

Oh hey, a rare win for Muller! That was pretty unexpected but I'll take it. Should be an interesting race going forward, though I don't expect us to be in GC contention.

Kiriakidis score 2 points from the U25 competition. I guess that's as good as it's going to get for us here. Miltiadis also riding alright, but neither can keep up in the cobbles.

Good to see little Pira in the break, no better terrain to gain valuable experience than the cold Northern Europe. Had hoped De Bie could actually finish it this time, but UBS is also a nice winner after a tough season for them.

Shame Teunissen lost a lot of time, but this result does put Malecki and Leknessund in an interesting position. Very curious how this develops from here.

Ouch Farantakis didn’t even sprint. Not ideal to be hit by the No-sprint-sprinter in this race where we don’t have anything to go by in other stages…

Good to have a breather, excited to see what the next key stage brings! Really hope Wisniowski can put in a convincing performance, as I think we need to have yellow to have any chance at defending a great GC position on the Huy stage.

Not really a big fan of Zepuntke wasting energy on a sprinters stage instead of trying to go for some decent stage results on the cobbles to be fair. Still, thanks for the great report as always, Double R.
