Congrats roturn! I'm happy with El Sabbahi in 11th, must've been a late surge after not being present in the screenshots at all. Would be nice if he was, of course, but can't expect much from a youngling like him

Its because he’s on loan from Indosat, he’s probably just trying to one up Howard’s recent performances I’d say

I was honestly a bit annoyed that we didn't try to get in the break, but in the end it turned out perfect! Not sure if the others actually helped him that much, but today Trondsen managed to find the perfect position. The sprint played a bit into his hands, but he was there and managed to take advantage of it. Probably also a very good day. Awesome to see and a much needed positive for us in this race!
We also know that Trondsen tends to grow stronger during a race, so that also promises good for the eventual sprint stages to come.

A massive disappointment as a christmas surprise, yay!
Still looking good for ciclamino though. Tomorrow should be the day we can seal that with a tailor-made finish for Demare, but I just know it's going to a break.

Nice 12th place from Pidcock yesterday. Surely hoping he can find his way into a breakaway in the last week and compete for more stage success, needs to give Jams a call to find out how Xero's last loanee competing in the Giro did it

Smith is such a great GT rider, impressive from Neumann to deny him there. Congrats Roman!
For us, we seem to be in a slightly awkward spot where Madrazo is still rated highly enough to not allow us someone in the breakaway, but at the same time, perhaps not rated so highly that our team gets "contender team" status. At least that's what I'm gathering from Ndayisenga chilling in 121st place on the day. Only Eyob doing a decent job in support.
Still, pretty fun that I get to complain about something happening to our team in a Grand Tour Looking forward to every new stage. Thanks for the reports, Ulrich!

Plenty of strong riders in that break, so even though we had two riders there, I'm certainly very happy with 3rd and 9th. Seems like the morale in the team have been lifted the last few stages, so hopefully we can continue like this!

Nice to see Muller in a breakaway that sticks! Overall, very happy with how the race has gone so far. I feel that the podium is up for grabs going into the final week. Fantastic race Ulrich.

Strong ride by Nesset! Looks like he was riding smart also, but he's not a sprinter, so not a big surprise that he couldn't go all the way. Very happy with the podium though.
Also a very cool ride by Oomen. Once we didn't win ourselves, it was good to see him getting rewarded for that. Congrats, Olfardh!
Hopefully Nesset will try to stay with the favourites tomorrow and then get a few easier days before he can go full out on the last two mountain stages.

Great Racing and reporting! Pretty unhappy with our performances in the mountains so far though, the Petelin trade doesn't look good at the moment and Hart performs slightly under expectations.

Outstanding stage. Conhrats on that epic win Olfardh. It came really close for Almeida in the end, but Oomen wasn't going to allow anyone else to take that glorious victory away from him. Kudos!
Top notch report. Really captured all the drama involved, which doesn't come easy when so many different battles are happening at the same time. Thanks again Ulrich!

Seeing Abdul Halil positioned so well, in Grosu's wheel, on stage 12, was very promising. It quickly became clear he needed a top day to actually finish it though, as he maneged to finish outside of the top-50 while being in top position to possibly win the stage under the red kite
Although the previous stage was a hilly stage, I loved to see Osorio in the break. A shame he was the worst of the twelve escapees in the end, but I admire his courage and attacking spirit, you never know if a late attacks is actually able to stick.
Now the mountain stage seemed promising as well, with Munoz in the break next to some strong climbers, but for the second time in this Giro he acted rather disappointing, droppnig far before the fireworks even started. Beautiful win for Lierse though, as Lecuisinier is simply untouchable in the GC.

Well, Nesset didn't listen to my wish, but he ended up showing himself strongly once more, so we have to be happy with that. At least he get's a flat stage to rest a bit up before the TT and final mountain stages. Don't think he could have done anything different today, Meintjes and the other guys coming from behind was just too strong. Must say I like this kind of riding from the game.
Thanks for another great report, Ulrich. Really appreciate the time you put into this, like that little nugget with the top three throughout the race. PHL looks to have full control of the win, but what a fight it will be for the other places on the podium!
