The January Update! Just 3 PT races, of which 9 race days were for all teams with a time trial/hill mix in Tasmania as also a sprinter chaos in Qatar. A very few teams also scored in the first cobbles of the season in Africa in the Franceville Classique.
In the end two teams had an extremely strong showing in both PT events. Isostar around Phinney in Tasmania, Festina with Coquard in Qatar (even though it was more overall and less stage wise). As both also scored well in the other race, they are arleady a bit ahead of most in the total rankings.
Only team coming very close is Grieg due to consistent scoring everywhere including a huge performance, mainly depth wise in Franceville.
ISA the last team, who is keeping contact with a nice start.
Mapei, Farfetch, Puma the other teams above 400 points but not far ahead of the next row of teams starting with EA Vesuvio and Xero, who actually had a strong start, mainly due to Rowe in Qatar.
At the bottom Amaysim had a awful start, even more as it included their home race. Same goes for Gazelle, Tinkoff, Moser and Evonik or Zwift. For many teams, it`s just a quick look post January, but they really need better races next.

Individually Coquard is high up there in first due to participating and scoring nicely in 2 events. Only other riders doing similar but weaker are Groenewegen in 5th, Degenkolb in 6th, Rowe in 8th or Pedersen in 11th and some more following then.
Having scored in just one race but better than those listed the Isostar dup Phinney/Gaviria, both on the podium as also Grosu in 4th.
Tenorio, Wirtgen and Bewley more names in the top 10 mixing the young and old nicely.
Ma, Pa, get in here, you gotta see this, I’m doing it!!!

A great start to the season for us. Other than Kragh puncturing in Qatar, it's been more or less max results for us so far. Don't expect that to continue, but nice to get a good jump away from the relegation zone with a start like that.
Pedersen already with 2/3 of the points he scored last season, more or less, so great to see him getting more out of the races this year. Fingers crossed for that to continue.
Isostar looking good on top. Will be hard to get them off that spot this year.
Can't complain about the start. A normal result from Franceville is the difference between leading and being 2nd. But our team is no way near as strong as Isostar, so we are happy to be this high up for the time being.
February will likely be a very poor month, so it's nice to have a little headstart.
Probably the worst start in team history for Evonik. Qatar underperformed already low expectations (tied for worst scoring team) while Tasmania was also disappointing for the strong team that we sent.
We already face a big gap towards some of the other top teams (550 points to Isostar and Festina) and if we don't wake up quickly, the fight for the podium might be over far quicker than i would have imagined. In most seasons we went into February directly in the hunt for the top spot, this time we are 130 points behind Xero.
Time to start the comeback immediately with the next race which is *checks calendar* Copenhagen.
Thanks for the update, always much much appreciated.
Considering the lineups we've had in these first three races (plus the decent TTT result not included here), with the most valuable race days already used being 11 of Ganna's 64 across his season, I'm incredibly satisfied with our position here.
Sütterlin in Tasmania's TT, Ganna in the entirety of Qatar, Steimle in Franceville and the TTT team have produced a highlight at every single race so far and put us right into the fight for the top positions with the least RD cost possible.
Particularly having the 6th best score in Qatar is a great buffer for future disappointing efforts.
Grieg takes the theoretical lead after the TTT here, enjoy that! Festina with a strong start using up a lot of Coquard's RDs and Isostar with an expected continuation of their winning ways will surely look forward to build onto their January results and keep Evonik, us etc. at bay.
