Teunissen definitely should have been able to stay with that first chase group. Getting dropped again was painful to watch. If this trend continues we'll be fighting for staying in the PT instead of for the win.
Malecki's performance is a small highlight though.

I'll take 20th from Anderberg and a breakaway appearance from Trondsen. We're simply not any good on the cobbles this season, which is no surprise
Big results for several teams. Bewley the expected winner, but wow, that's quite a result for Isostar, and the Evonik depth train. Congratulations, all!
Thanks and also from me congrats to Isostar and Moser for their huge results.
I hoped for a podium but probably enjoyed this report much more with that impressive team performance. Neilands looked like a beast here while the rest of my team performed very strongly too. 5 in the 25 is another awesome team results and makes me happy about some of the offseason decisions. Amazing month for me
I would've been very satisfied with 12th and 21st before the race, and I still very much am after, but man Declerq is a joke.
Not even being our best finisher in 2 of the 3 cobbles races so far, that's simply not good enough to remain on the team.
You're up against a 25 year old in his secondary discipline and a level 3 rider ffs!
But, let's focus on the obvious man of the day, possibly even in absolute terms:
Rémi Cavagna!
I was ready to be proven very wrong to use Fabian training for him, but he's absolutely excelling this season so far!
Riding the break to a great finish in Italy, and now hanging on for such a long time to push for a brilliant 12th on the day shows he can be a great underdog for the cobbled races as well as hopefully a good bet for Chrono d'Arenberg and ToNE.
And that's all on 50k wage!
If Meiler weren't on the path to taking over the captain role in these races soon, there could be a case to be made for training him a bit.
But as is, he's excellent PpRD material for the moment.
Congrats up front to Bewley recovering from the Ronde in style to get a mental boost going towards PR, and man I really want some of what Evonik's having in terms of depth scoring lately!
Also congrats to Croatia for that 3-4, I'm very happy to see that improve your mood a bit.
And obviously, a cunego report is a cunego report and needs no further words to be deemed perfect!
