Is Froome even going to ride le Tour? I'd say the chances he causes problems for Bernal are bigger than the chances of him winning.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Interesting but I would say that he will because Ineos will probably be looking for three heavyweight contenders in Bernal, Thomas and Froome to match that of Jumbo with Dumoulin, Roglic and Steve K who are in the startlist of eight for Team Jumbo. If all of those six start then there will be a power struggle in both teams which will be great to see.

I wouldn’t be surprised if I see Chris Froome attacking multiple times in the Tour de France and disobey team tactics since he won’t have sole leadership. |

It'll be a big choice for Ineos. Thomas and Bernal will be the protected riders. Do they risk taking Froome as a wildcard and bit of an unknown quantity after his injury, but risk him going rogue and riding for himself. He could win the Tour, he could fall apart, he could rip the team apart. No one knows at this time.
Or do they take a pure domestique who is going to ride for Thomas and Bernal with no issues?

Well, I doubt Thomas will be better than Froome, but Thomas will have less of a problem with helping Bernal. I still think they'll send Froome to Giro and/or Vuelta.

I think that Froome is sort of linked to the TdF for sponsorships stuff...

Don't the Giro and Vuelta clash this year?
My thought was Bernal and Thomas at the Tour
Carapaz at the Giro
Froome at the Vuelta
Real chance of Ineos winning all 3 Grand Tours in the same year.
In reality Froome will go to the Tour and Ineos will spend the whole race being asked questions about who the leader is and whether A will support B or if C will attack A & B if the chance arises.

+1
anyway I don't see Froome alone at Vuelta as the big favourite, regardless he'll race or not TdF

Yeah just needed to vent it out somewhere I won't be judged, as I saw picture of Brad Wiggins with sleeves by his shoulders, using leg warmers above his shorts and no socks.. Still traumatized

I believe that's how Paul Weller used to dress when he rode his bike.

Probably another French "Future Tour Winner" who looks like a contender for a couple of years but then fades away and rides for the KOM jersey for the rest of his career.
In other news, just over a week until the Strade Bianche

I will only believe it as soon as the race starts, hopefully no major predicaments will happen during this week and we can have an exciting race. |
