Sorry for being so late, but here go mine:
Portugal
Rafael Reis
Frederico Figueiredo
Antonio Barbio
Belgium
Dominique Cornu
New Zealand
Shane Archbold
Australia
Zakkari Dempster
Colombia
Fabio Duarte
Japan
Yoshimitsu Hiratsuka
Given my lack of quick access to a computer I don't think I'm a good candidate to be a selector for any country, but if need be I'll take on whichever of these nations.

Weren't in the past nations as well selected by having a suiting captain for the selected route? I'm not sure if just going by the team rankings is the best way. Pluchkin surely should be part of the main race right away imo. The charme of the B race to me is that there outsiders can fight for a great title and a fancy jersey. I think, having a 85 MO rider there takes that away a little bit.
| Stefan Denifl | | Matthias Brändle | | Chun Wing Leung | | Alexey Lutsenko | | Kristaps Budenieks | | Sandis Eislers | | Muhamad Zawawi Azman | | Nur Amirul Marzuki | | Dennis Van Winden | | Tom David | | Jaoa Costa | | Jakob Rathe |
Fung, Hsu and Gidich for the u23 race if possible
Can be selector for Malaysia and Hong Kong. If any of my nations lack a selector you can add me too. |

The original deadline for this was tonight but since I forgot to give a reminder this week, I'll just extend it for some time.
New deadline: Sunday, 5th July, 12 Noon, Daily time.
Please take this as the final reminder for rider nominations. We will start the PMs to selectors after the deadline.

I like it a lot more via nation rankings. I think it is an interesting minor objective to build up a small country enough that it qualifies for the WC by developing riders to aid with the scoring for the country. Getting Latvia to the A Worlds via qualification would be a fantastic achievement for years of developing the country. Being given a spot because an organizer thinks the route fits Skujins/X means nothing to me and renders the WC pretty much uninteresting for me.
Spoiler one could consider increasing the number of wildcard spots to the A worlds through b worlds results to three to allow more of the best specialists to qualify if thats a concern
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I understand your point and agree with it mostly. I'm not against using the nation rankings completely, but in my opinion there should also be other factors playing a role. Maybe instead of someone picking suiting teams by their riders, we can additionally look at the individual rider rankings? Pluchkin is very clearly leading the PCT rankings and is also in the top 10 of all riders in the game. I think it would be fair to say that this should be enough to qualify him for the A world championships.
Maybe give a spot in the main race to all nations that place a rider in the top 20 in the rankings, besides only looking at the nations rankings?
That way the start lists would still be based on performance and it can remain an objective to qualify a small country.
But in the end it's probably not all too important, just giving my thoughts |

Russia really wanted to defend their TTT title from last year, but without Trofimov and Ovechkin among others what's the point.
Same for road race no Kunshin, Ignatenko etc.
It's so annoying to see important riders not nominated, can't we just nominated every rider automatically next season and let the selectors pick the best riders. Makes it easier to organise and active managers won't be disappointed by inactive managers.
Or the nominated riders can be selected for Road Race and ITT, but all riders are eligible for Team Time Trial.

On that note, there are some changes to the the startlists to mention for the WCs...
Luxembourg have only one rider nominated. They are out of the ITT and are bumped down from the elite race to the B race. They were standby for the TTT anyway.
South Africa move into the TTT line-up as Ireland, Kazakhstan and Czech Republic dont have 8 riders nominated. Ireland remain in the startlist with 7 nominated riders. Czech Republic and Kazakhstan are now standby. Sweden, the final standby, also have only 5 nominated riders.
Kazakhstan replace Luxembourg in the Elite Race.
For Eddie Stobart, only Anderson and Joeaar will be included in the WCs as their teams have less than 8 riders nominated. The others unfortunately have to be left out as the PMs to selectors had already gone out by the time the nominations came in (after the deadline).

Sorry on my behalf about Trofimov. Can he still be included? I totally oversaw him as a suitable nominee.

If I understand correctly, ITT and TTT will take place on the same or on a similar course, i.e. cobbled mountain route?

Unfortunately, PMs have already gone out to selectors and responses have also come in for some. Won't be fair to allow him in after the deadline either.

The course for the ITT and TTT will be the same. It will be flat with climbs but not an MTT. It will have a couple of short cobbled sectors.
Selection Update: 11 out of 25 selectors have replied so far. Please send in your selections soon. The deadline is tomorrow.

What's the deadline now? 9th or 19th? Haven't looked into it yet, because I thought I'd have the weekend for this...
