12th, 18th and 21th. Quite happy with that!
Good racing from Kinoshito lately. And thanks for another great report!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

14th from Bilbao is solid I guess. Not an overperformance by any stretch, but it could have been a lot worse also.
Congrats to Valverde on another win, but we plan to show who's really the best puncheur in the coming races
Thanks for another great report jph

Very decent from Claeys, I'll take eighth in a race like this.
Congrats valverde and thanks jph for the report!

Good performance from Schreurs. He covers pretty much every dangerous attack and gets a good result in the end. Though he's yet to get a really great result this season, he's at least pretty consistent.
Congrats to valverde and thanks a lot for your great work, jph!

Congrats to valv and thanks for the report jph.
I was very nervous about Flugel's chances in PCM18 after Beijing.
Very happy to see good team support early and Flugel was able to follow attacks and stay in touch.
6th was a lot higher than I expected at the start of the race but agonisingly he had a top 5 goal!

So the gamble didn't really pay off too well atm, shame but at least Bellis finished in 10th and we got some decent depth scoring on top of it so we didn't do too badly here in the end.

Really nice report jph. Fun race to follow. Congrats to valverde. 16th and 23rd isn't horrible given that the hills are not our domain.

Juul-Jensen was never going to do anything in this field, but I still don't understand just how bad he is. I can't figure out what stat he has that's so much worse than similar riders that has caused him to be so atrocious. It's like he has weights tied to his bike.

Well, that was absolutely fantastic. Kinoshita was clearly the strongest rider here, with multiple attacks and still winning. Izagirre nearly won, but I'm so glad we did. Normally would have taken a 2nd place, but with how strong Tomohiro was, a 2nd place just wouldn't have been satisfying. This win has definitely been the highlight of the season for me thus far.
Kinoshita had something like 6 race days in the first half of the season (very few anyway) so a backloaded schedule can hopefully help us in our promotion bid.

Hey, I'll happily admit Beltran is the better rider (on this version of the game) I was hoping he wouldn't be so expensive last off season and I could have both, but that dream lasted about 2 bids.
Thanks for the congrats everyone, and great reports jph!

Another failure of the team, this is a season to forget for Paulinho. Whether or not Vogt is harming Paulinho chances this will only be known in the next season.
Congrats to valverde and thanks for the report

Tybor extremely overperformed with his 22th, while all of our favorites ending between 100th-150th. Horrible day yet again and we need a brilliant Tour of America if this continues.
Great, long and entertaining report however, thank you very much!
Congrats valv! |

AI treatment / Positioning. Mostly. Plus a lot of bad luck as well by now, of course.
Splits in PCM 18 don't happen because EVERYONE caught behind has run out of energy or couldn't ride as fast as the front.
Splits happen because a few riders get caught out by an acceleration and let a gap open up, and now everyone's race is fucked.
Juul-Jensen is just somehow rated to be quite irrelevant by the game and therefore likely coasts in the back half of the peloton unaware of the top of a hill coming up, and suddenly finds himself a minute behind with full bars.
Plus, the solid rider model can wreak havoc on randomly slowed down riders as well.

So I know I wasn't expecting much, but a top 100 would have been nice.
Congrats to Valverde on the win and the very impressive performance from Kinoshita.

Betancourt has one of his brain switched-on days . 5th is good for him in this company, even if a podium looked on the cards as the finale really kicked off, but as I suspected pre-race, STA played its part and he suffered in the final kms; still good to continue on to 5th though, happy with that. Affonso in the break was also a good day out, and hung on for some minor points, earning his wages today. Boily was a bit hit and miss - surprised that when gapped slightly he did not re-connect on the descent as some others managed given he is recognised as a top descender. Taken together, a good outcome achieved, even if a little more was also possible, we'll settle for what we got.
Kinoshita is hitting a rich vein of form right now (congrats to valv), and as a lot of puncheur type races are concentrated late on in the calendar for the division, expect the likes of Kinoshita, Kelderman et al. to make significant moves in the individual division rankings given that their races have finally ticked round. Could of course also have quite an impact on the overall team standings over the last few months of the season as well
Thanks again to our reporter jph, comprehensive coverage of what turned out to be an exciting well balanced race.

Indeed, Kinoshita is deserved winner, he was clearly strongest man in the field. However, I´m really happy with Ion´s performance today, I love his agressive approach. Finishing 2nd place in such tough race is just awesome! As valverde mentioned (congrats to great win!), it must be highlight of the season for me as well
Thanks jph for great report!

Great result and great performance from Borges. Very much what we needed.
Wonderful racing here. It's surprising to see an actual good hilly classic nowadays.
Congrats on the amazing win valverde and thanks for the report jph!
