Incredible coincidence is that this is second game in a row that I'm the doctor who wants to save ryant as politician in night 2 and he is found killed anyway thanks to the strongman.
Very well played by Bikex, unfortunately we were close to hillis in the end but was too late, with just a single vote as margin of error, and that was it.
I protected Bikex in night 3 quite sure he was town, but in the last day his non-vote was very suspicious, and I shifted my preference on Kandes. It would have been interesting to talk in the new day.

We got through great here. I was ready to be the scape goat here aswell. As we wanted to protect the godfather until the end. Some luck a long the way, but got through like we wanted to.

Congrats to the mafia for taking over the town.
It's hard to end the game because of a modkill, the next day(s) would have been interesting to play, as I suspect hillis would have been next to get lynched and quadsas was under suspicion too. I got a feeling that df_trek and I got well along in the last few hours and days (irl), and therefore there might have been a chance to even get bikex (there were one or two posts that sounded fishy, even the more in hindsight).
Maybe the town will learn from this game (as it did from the last games too...) and may really consider a no-lynch (yes, I did it again  ) in the early game. It really wasn't a good start to lynch the detective with 3 or 4 votes (out of 15) because of some rather eccentric (but not really bad) posts.
Interesting to see that quadsas seems really annoyed by jdogs post irl, would also have been a clever move only pretending that. |

I was not online at the time Croatia decided to reveal 4 minutes before the deadline, I was driving. I had no reason to switch my vote until this post. He was in danger of being eliminated much earlier in the day and did not have a reason to wait so long. I don't even have a power role and was not under as much pressure but still made a claim post much earlier in the day.
You do anything you can to survive. The more analysis knockout is giving the more I think he is genuinely a townie but I still am set on Marco or bbl going today. I'm still not sure how to think about these inactive players either. I tend to believe trekbmc like knockout does but then again you never know.
If kandes is mafia, he is playing the best mafia game out of anyone in the mafia thus far with the exception of knockout if he is mafia. I say that because knockout has started to earn my trust but I don't want to seem biased because he also said the same about me recently.
@Jseadog, do you realise how scummy this post sounded? This is the mindset of a mafia player, not a town player and hints of what you have blatantly said in this post are considered to be mafia tells to look out for.
You are supposed to play as a mafia member in a way that would fit in with the town, not play as a town member in a way that would fit in with the mafia

Congrats to the Mafia! Particularly Bikex hid himself well.
A bit salty to how this ended due to trek trekbmcing again but the choice to kill him was the only correct choice as far as im concerned because keeping him alive despite the rule would have effectively confirmed him as town. A bit of a shame that no replacement was found - i was pretty sure we had one in place at the start of the game. No idea how to solve it for future games - maybe starting with a night and let the night kill victim act as first replacement option?
Would have been very interesting how the rest of the game would have unfolded. I feel like hillis would have been for sure the next lynch target and quadsas looked quite obvious as mafia after the last end of day as well. Whether there was any chance to get Bikex at the end? No clue - his non vote might have spreaded doubt once hillis flips and pro town status can turn quickly. Kinda doubt it though - especially if he distanced himself from quadsas and hillis early.
right now it seems like the mafia is dominating nearly every game. I think we have to realize a few things:
- We need to stack the setup more in favor of the town. I think jandal and me are doing the mistake of giving the mafia too many powers. Maybe replacing one of their roles with a goon would improve the balance a bit.
- Day 1 action is still far too little. "There isnt much too comment" isnt much of a reason to not comment. You have to realize that by doing that you are not giving other townies a chance to read you as town and allow the mafia to hide between you. Particularly thinking of someone like Marco, kandes or jaxika here. I think that lynching waghlon ended up more valuable than a no lynch even with his town flip because it helped (me) a lot in reading Trekbmc, jdog and jaxika as protown as well as correctly suspecting that at least one or two mafia members werent driving any lynch trains on day 1. If only i hadnt picked the worst possible option on day 2 in Croatia. I'm thinking about removing the option to no lynch on day 1 for the next game to encourage this discussion.
- We are far too hesitant to change votes. Once we post our vote, we usually stick to it till the end of the day. Jdog on day 3 was the only notable vote change i can remember outside of activity votes. Sometimes it might be worth posting marginal votes early in the day and change that later for a more promising lynch target. I have to include myself in this critic as well. I mostly suck in interpreting current day action as analysing past day action.
- people should stop stating so clearly that they only vote to pressure someone into more activity. Once you do that, it is obvious that you will change the vote quickly after a longer vote and you dont really force mistakes anymore. You can always state that later if necessary after the reaction.
- we have to look more closely into players and not just look at activity levels. If everybody is okay with lynching a quiet player then we have to discuss which one because we are too easily misslead towards the wrong one in that case.
- Dont settle for your second or third most likely mafia member to get lynched too early in the day. If you dont think the most likely mafia gets lynched then push for your preference. you can always chamge towards one of the leading waggons in the final hours and its less harmful seen if you state your opinion on them early but try to push for someone else than if you come out of nothing to do so
To my own game:
- this might be quite controversial but i feel like my game was decent this game.
- My vote on waghlon on day 1 was the decision between waghlon and a no lynch where i still stand by the idea that it is the better decision to lynch a random player. No lynching after a discussion meant to lynch someone might have been okay too but i dont think this was a mistake by me. and i believe that the town would have been a lot less active without me and would have struggled more
- My analysis on day 2 was very good in hindsight (both day 1 vote analysis and reading that marco was likely protown) but i picked the wrong quiet on day 1 member. Even my gut reaction that Croatia more likely faked the power role claim was okay.
- Day 3 was the one day where i played very badly due to overreacting on the action on day 2. probably because i felt responsible for the end of day 2 and tried to heroball the game. Not a good idea
- Day 4 was good analysis but i already had lost town credit from jdog/jaxika due to the bad day 3 and mafia pretty much went all in on lynching me.
Best players per faction:
Mafia: Bikex for sure.
Town: id say df. One of those that helped to analyze the players already on day 1 and despite more quiet days 2 and 3, he was pretty good on day 4. Widely seen as protown too.

NGL I gave my 3 mafia after I died to jandal and only really got one (hillis - how he even survived after voting against me to kill Croatia day 2 lord only knows. Everything Croatia suggested SCREAMED pro town so everyone who lynched him/did nothing was scummy) My other two was knockout and kandes <- that post was horrendous on 7:59 lmao, how you thought you were in any danger of dying beats me tbf, thats why I thought you were mafia.
Also wanted to lynch quadsas d1, shame no one got behind me or even seemed to listen because this town only seemed to want to lynch pro town members and mafia were never even pressured. :/

Good game everyone. Thanks for hosting this game jandal.
I don't agree that the mafia roles are to strong, the town just didn't get any use of any of theirs, which was our luck.
Didn't want to win just because of the modkill in the end but also didn't want to kill trekbmc just so we don't. With the 3v12 ratio in the beginning we already faced very difficult conditions to start with.
@df_trek: My nonvote was actually because I didn't get home in time.

Then why weren't you saying anything when we discussed the night kill? We decided for jseadog because otherwise you would've been lynched the next day and because he essentially proved with his move that he was a townie. Why are you so mad about that, if you think you would've been able to convince the town to Lynch him??
Otherwise df_trek would've been the next target. I think the last days could've become difficult for us especially with the tracker still alive. Quadsas wanted to go on a suicide mission and hillis was the prime suspect anyways. Funniest was when he said bbl could be detective after we discussed it in the mafia chat because we framed Croatia in the first night.
knockout digging out later had me sweating. 
I'm surprised kandesbunzler was questioned so little, like ryant also said I thought with his behavior he could be a good lynch target for us.
Also very surprised Croatia turned out to be a normal townie |

Just feels like it happens quite often, I think it's the third time out of 5 games I've played here.

I don't think it would benefit the game (or the players) if one pro-town player would be lynched at random before he could actually do anything just to have a potential replacement. By the way, I doubt I can be active at the next game(s), but as I will at least follow them anyway, you probably can put me on the replacement list.

I think the combination of Framer and Godfather is way too powerful, as the detective (if alive long enough...) would have to doublecheck each of his reads, as it could be either false-positive or false-negative. I would encourage to just have one of these roles, as it gives the detective at least some security on his pro-town-reads (with only the Framer) or his mafia-reads (with only the Godfather). Replace the other role with a goon (or maybe a terrorist).

I don't think that a no-lynch-option is necessary to encourage discussion on day 1. Why should the town be forced to lynch someone they're not sure about and thus get into the danger of running out of time in the middle- and end-game if there's a majority of players that doesn't want that? It should remain an option to not lynch anyone for tactical reasons. Getting more discussion by pointing (and voting) at each other might be fine, but I don't think a forced lynch with a rather unimpressive minority vote of 4 out of 15 gives you (not really you, knockout, but a less experienced player) so much information it's worth the forced loss of a townie. |
