A real shame what became of his career. Can't believe he's the same guy that won the Giro prologue at 21. He had so much potential, and that crash and leg injury basically destroyed it.

Edo Maas, talented Dutch youngster riding for Sunweb Devo, has unfortunately been rendered paraplegic as a result of his terrible crash into a car that had entered the course of Piccolo Lombardia two weeks ago.

Sad about both of them. It once again shows the dangers of cycling, as if we need that many reminders.
Some other news then, Corendon is fighting Wanty hard for the 2nd place in the PCT rankings (for the free wildcards). Normally their season was over, but they entered Chrono des Nations last minute for some precious points. I don't think there's ever been so much at stake in this race before.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Never forget Phinney’s brief comeback at Paris-Roubaix last year. Unable to follow up. And a shame about Maas, may he and his family be strong, terrible stuff. |

Exactly, he did race but had a nasty crash which meant he couldn't race the Volta. H

Quite a few interesting signings from Fundacion Euskadi, who have received a ProTeam (former PCT) licence for next year.

This is big news. Tour of California will most likely not be held in 2020.

Absolutely pathetic that the U.S. can't manage to keep a single decent stage race. Just pathetic.
