Is it possible for amateur managers to nominate riders if they do it by the bunch? Eg. 10-15 riders? Just to get numbers up? Or do you prefer we don't. I honestly haven't looked into the database in that regard, but I could help rather than a bit here and there drops in...
No. The whole point is for managers without an Amateur team to nominate a single rider who they would like to see as part of a team.
Ah alright. My bad

Pleased that the the World Cycling Centre jersey still has the opportunity to see the light of day if the parternship between BBL and myself is approved by MGUCI - seems the perfect umbrella under which to capture our divergent Scandi-South American areas of regional interest.
As a note to managers making rider nominations, having had a quick look at the RD's available to the Amateur teams, you might want to wrap this into your thinking:
If I've got my sums correct:
(i) Any level 1 rider will level up at the end of the year from the Amateur race programme.
(ii) A level 2 rider who is close to or at 2.00 will not get enough RD's to level up (with potential caveat to follow).
(iii) A level 3 rider has to be quite far along to have any hope of reaching level 4.
Of course, partial progress towards a next level for an interesting rider is a hell of a lot better than none - levelling up doesn't have to be a dominant thought process in rider selection or nomination. Getting a chance to scout how riders perform in top level racing is equally relevant
@SN +/ @Roturn: Do U23 riders on Amateur teams qualify for Avenir nomination? If so, any U23 level 2 rider (even starting at 2.00) would also level up at season end if I have done my quick caluclations correctly.
Spoiler If anyone spots any flaws in my XP assessment, please speak up, wouldn't want to present any mis-leading information.

I’m going to have to withdraw my interest as well, I originally had plenty of time over the next few days but am now going to be doing 15 hour days until Sunday. Mixing this in would surely be too much stress

A level 1 rider starting at 1.00 should end up at 2.40 (32xC2, 22xC1) or 2.39 (31xC2, 23xC1).
A level 2 rider starting at 2.00 should end up at 2.92 (may be 2.93, don't know how half race-days are rounded), so indeed no level up. Except if allowed to Avenir, of course. Riders starting at 2.08 or higher should be fine either way.
A level 3 rider starting at 3.00 should end up at 3.54, so should have at least 3.46 to start with (Delco is 3.50, I took that into account )
So yes, I guess you were right.
All of this stands if amateur teams can sign exactly 8 riders, which I haven't read about in this season's rules yet. |

Good work Fabianski, that meshes with what I thought.
Don't mean to stifle the characteristics of rider nominations - each manager has complete freedom of choice within the MGUCI mandated level 1-3 limits. Just thought worth pointing out for those who don't have time to think through the implications of the available RD's and might potentially be disappointed at season end that a level-up didn't happen that they had perhaps expected.

Avenir will depend on how many eligible riders are in full teams.
May offer a small boost to ensure 2.0 -> 3 is possible. It was last year, but with a couple less CT teams this year, theres been a shift to more C2 races.

Allow them to be nominated for the XP but only put them into teams if there is space after all nominated riders at PT/PCT/CT teams have been accounted for?

They haven't been mandated for this year yet though? But I also assume they'll come right?

Hi Croatia - I was referring specifically to this text in SN's main introductory post:
Other Managers
If you aren't involved in an Amateur team, you are allowed to nominate any Level 1 to 3 Free Agent rider in the database, to give them a much larger chance of being involved in an Amateur team. Please reply to this thread to do that.
Apologies if I introduced any confusion.

I would also prefer to go solo, but if it is really needed, I may as well agree to team up with a PCT manager.

Same here! Plan was to go solo but that isn't possible, won't really be able to go full-on so I hope others can do so

How many riders are managers with no Amateur teams allowed to nominate at most?

Okay, was confused because I saw ryant nominate two of them
I'll nominate Elias Abou Rachid in that case.
