Has anyone heard something about Pinot and whether or not he will ride the Vuelta?
It'll be tough to get back from a muscle tear in that space of time and then get back up to a level to be competitive in a three week race. My completely uneducated guess would be he won't be there.

Pozzovivo suffered an heavy crash. with multiple fractures, during training near homeplace. He likely ended the season (hope not his career but I won't be surprised if this will end it)

Matti Breschel retires.
Regarding Pozzo, hope it won’t be the last of him... still looked good for a season more or two this year |

Well ok, Matti. I will never forget my 5 roubaix wins I had with you.

Major transfer as Tiesj Benoot signs for Sunweb!
Elsewhere, Zeits to Mitchelton (wtf) and Cataldo and Villella also leave Astana for Movistar. |

Wow. Didn`t see Benoot leave but makes sense as he clashes here and there with Wellens etc.
With Sunweb though it`s the same but almost more extreme with Matthews. |

João Almeida signs for Deceuninck - Quick Step.

Unsurprisingly though as he participated in their pre-season training this year. Great team for him to give the jump, hopefully he can have a better career path than Ruben Guerreiro. |

The potential is there, big big move for both sides, and my daily mention that I've raced with him fits very well today

Deceuninck have announced Mattia Cattaneo today. Hopefully a good opportunity to show his real value in WT, but let’s see. |

Yea as a neo pro there is really no better place to learn the race craft than Quick Steppers

Well, only if you are a classics specialist. If you are a GC rider it's probably the worst place you can go.

Kinda wanted to say Enric Mas but it just feels like a conundrum to me now after what happened this year... |

I don't know what you guys are on, but Catteno is neither a neo pro, nor a World Tour newbie.

Yeah, Shonak didn’t quote me.
Anyway, it’s time for baseballlover to change his avatar as Dan Martin will join Israel Cycling Academy in 2020. |

Indeed, will have some editing to do.
Crazy decision though. I know he's had a bad season, but he really couldn't get a contract from a WT team? He might not even get a GT or Ardennes invite here.
Edit: Also, a very weird transfer politically. Can't imagine UAE will give him any more real opportunities this year given he's transferring to an Israeli team.
