Oh I definitely am! Makes for very interesting reading, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this changes now that we're an 'established' team Wink

MG World Ranking - Post January, 2018
Before starting of with the monthly World Ranking updates for the season, I would like to thank our admins for the monthly points update for all divisions, without which these updates would not be possible.

MG Team World Ranking
No changes at the top from the end of last season, with the first changes showing up with teams having promoted/relegated last year. The gap at the top has decreased considerably though.

MG Rider World Ranking
A few notable changes in the Top 10 with Dombroski and Bakelants making a jump up while while Van Avermaet moves out of it, with Alarcon also dropping. The most improved riders in the Top 50 are Peter Kennaugh and Bryan Coquard, both moving up 21 positions, while Caio Godoy jumps a whopping 690 positions on the back of his shocking win in Badaling!

Nothing for us yet, expecting to gain a few spots on the CT teams and lose a few to Philips, Kulczyk and Repsol this season. Thanks for the update Abhi Grin

MG World Ranking - Post May, 2018
We're halfway through the season, minus a couple of races, and the MG World Rankings have seen some major changes over the past months. The recent points update, with some great work by roturn to get them out, have shown us how the divisions are shaping up. Now let's see how all of that has affected the rankings.

MG Team World Ranking
No changes at the top but the gap between Festina and Moser is down to just 200 points! Puma's superb season so far have seen them rise meteorically to 3rd. Other big movers in the PT include Grieg and Air-France who are holding their own in the division despite being newly promoted teams. Bennelong and Spotify have seen falls of a couple of positions each.

The big mover in the PCT division is Repsol, who are flying high to have gained 12 positions in the standings. Can they become the next Isostar? Phillips and Reddit are other teams who've been on a steady rise, despite currently being stuck in midfield in the division. Minions have risen six positions, and are another surprise package this year. Most of the substantial fallls in the PCT come from relegated teams, who are not earning PT points anymore. Iberia with the biggest fall of 5 places, but they're still the highest ranked PCT team. Meiji are the team to have dropped the furthest, despite remaining in the PCT. Azteca are having a difficult season, and despite having promoted, they've lost 10 positions since the start of the year.

Valio remain the highest ranked CT team, and haven't lost any spots in the rankings. ENI-MOL and Compal have lost 7 and 6 positions respectively. Andorra are the highest gainers of the CT division, climbing 4 spots. Equinor and Eddie Stobart drop five places each, despite remaining in the CT.

MG Rider World Ranking
The biggest movers in the Top 20 are unsurprisingly taken up by the Puma duo of Herklotz and Demare, gaining 29 and 35 positions respectively. The mantle of the highest gainer in the Top 50 is taken by Coquard, who's improved 43 positions so far. Dekker with the biggest drop of 23 positions in the same bracket. Godoy remains the biggest mover in the top 500, climbing 699 positions! Michael Schar is the next best, at 489 places gained.

Fantastic to be the top PCT promoting team and of course, the first one of the "2017 class". A good incentive to fight for if we fell outside of promoting spots Pfft

Kudus almost in the Top50 (51st)!

Thanks for the update Abhishek!

Climbing upwards, that's always good! Cool to see Wisniowski climbing a few spaces as well.

Again just further proof that we went up a division too early. Looking forward to next window so we can start rebuilding for CT and come back up. Massive shoutout for this work yet again Abi!

Great job Abhishek.

MG World Ranking - Post June, 2018

MG Team World Ranking
And we have a change at the top. For the first time since the World Rankings were introduced, Festina-Dexia is no longer the top team in the world! That honour is taken up by Moser-Sygic, who keep up their consistency, lying second in the table at this stage this season. However, Puma's superb season so far have catapulted them to within touching distance of the top. The top 3 teams are separated by a mere 133 points! Grieg, Isostar and Air France are the other upward movers in the PT with Volvo making the biggest move in the opposite direction.

Iberia remain the highest placed PCT team, despite falling 6 spots this season. Minions are the biggest gainers in terms of non-promoting teams. The biggest jumps so far have been made by Repsol and Kulczyk, with the latter taking over the mantle of best promoted team from the former. Azteca continue their free-fall!

The CT remains the story of big falls. Teams doing well in the division like Cerverica and GCN are still dropping down the standings because of lower points scored in CT. Valio still hold quite a high spot in the overall. Delvaux are the best of the new teams.

Festina-Canal+ are the best place Amateur team, with Signal Iduna next. Risa - Ergon are yet to record a ranking point.

MG Rider World Ranking
Herklotz's rise continues in what has been a spectacular season so far. Demare is another with a similar trajectory. Explains why Puma are where they are! Coquard remains the biggest improvement in the Top 50, but is now closely followed by Tenorio. Trofimov with the biggest fall in the same group.

MG World Ranking - 2018 Off-Season

MG Team World Ranking
Moser hangs on to the tag of the top team in the world by just 12 coefficient points! Puma's superb season gets them up all the way to 2nd place and on the cusp of the number 1 ranking. Festina drop to 3rd, but have a comfortable lead to the rest. Isostar is the biggest climbers in the PT, with Air France and Grieg the other teams to make significant improvements. Tinkoff suffer the biggest fall in the PT.

PCT Champions Generali and Runner-Up SPAR both make steady climbs up the table, but it is the season of Repsol and their back-to-back promotions which steals the limelight and ensures the highest rise of the season, a whopping 20 positions! Kulczyk and Reddit also ride up considerably in the rankings. Euskaltel and Azteca suffer the biggest falls in the PCT, helped in no small part to their relegations.

Delvaux are already better than 17 teams in the MG, while Valio actually fall in the rankings despite their promotion! The same goes for Compal. The only teams from the CT to rise in the rankings are Campari and Andorra, with the latter now heading to the PCT.

MG Rider World Ranking
No change in the Top 3 this season as Bewley, Spilak and Phinney hold on to the podium spots. Big changes behind them as Ponzi is now on Phinney's tail, moving Andy Schleck, despite his Giro win, down a position. Herklotz's brilliant season sees him rise 31 spots but this is overshadowed by the 36 position rise by teammate Demare! The biggest rise in the Top 50 is made by Grosu, a jump of 59 positions. The biggest fall in the Top 50 is of Machado, a loss of 15 positions.

Great work as always with this Abhi, makes interesting reading. Wonder whether MG19 using PCM18 (assuming we move to) will cause a more significant shake-up of the individual top 50, as other than newly maxxed/trained riders appears quite stable? Time will tell!

The current season must be really important, since I dropped to 3rd. Being 3rd this season but prior to that 3 times in a row 1st, with only Moser being close behind (usually)...

Lecuisinier and Coquard both in top 30 with Koretzky just outside the top 50. Something like that is very pleasing to see when you have built the team around those guys for quite some time.

van der Hugenhaben inside the top 100 is very surprising though!

Vlatos, Tzortzakis and Daniel are all inside the top 200 too, which is really nice.

Yes, you are right. The current season has the maximum weight, with last season being of lower weight and the season before that having minimum weight. The rankings use points of the last three years (not seasons in case we are mid-season) in reducing weight format like the irl FIFA rankings.
