But we need Goals for budget, and you need budget before transfers.
Although shifting Band selection to match up with C1/2 selections i can agree with.
Simple, only make last year's goal completion affect budget except for new teams.

Sure, start a big recruitment campaign to find enough good applicants to the MG and the ct can be big enough to allow abolishing mandatory c2hc races

He is right though. C2HC is awful to ride, as CT should offer the best odds for specialization. With the addition of Amateur teams we could afford to force them into choosing C2HC races and instead give the CT teams the chance to choose maybe 3/5 bands with specializations (meaning a cobbles band, a flat band, a hills band, a mountain band, a TT band). Then give them less C2 races and C1 races to ride, and we have a cool addition still clear of PCT.
If wanted by the MG UCI I'm happy to work out a concept for this that keeps race days for CT (and with it the reporting amount) the same. In general I'd offer to take over a look at the calendar and work on potential improvements, if the mguci would like such input. |

This would be amazing, if the bands focussed exclusively on one terrain, or at least majorly on 1 terrain as in the past seasons CT could go back to the place where you can totally ignore a terrain or 2 and still be competitive overall to promote.
I don't think a team built the way Gazelle was when they were CT would be anywhere near as strong because of the increase in mountain days you have to ride in CT and the increase in days you have to ride in C1 compared to then.
A Hill/Cobble/TT focussed team still has a lot of Mountain and sprint stages they have to ride and I don't thin PCM15 AI was all that favourable to strong rider late attacks/ flat breaks performing well meaning they would need a climber or sprinter, it feels like it is a lot harder to ignore one of those terrains than it used to be.

Don't like that idea. Being successful in your Goals should be important, but it's so easy to lose them to shit AI or bad daily form randomness. Allowing new picked Goals to factor in negates that damage, and keeps that manager balance between picking big for immediategain against going low for the longer term beneift. If you take away Goals impacting immediate budget there's no benefit to risking big goals unless you know you have a seriously dominant rider.

Alright, I'm pretty sure nobody is even considering keeping it round, but just to be clear, there is no way Cyprus should be a race next year.
I loved the premise of it, I was one of it's most ardent supporters, However, PCM clearly couldn't handle a race like that, and it just should not have happened, there's no way this race can be run again, and if we're gonna relegate thanks to it's result being worse than being run through a randomiser, it definitely should have to go as well.

Or Tami could twist it into something with the same "premise" just not that extreme.

We should definitely keep it, as it's probably a lovely race with good PCM18 AI and great design

It seems like something else that would be a good idea to test. As I recall the pre-season hill-climb challenge had HIL/COB AI in there, something similar could be tested in order to see if it works well or not.

Also with some knowledge from this season, perhaps more “proper” teams are sent. Also, freak results do occur from time to time, like when Godoy won a oneday race.

Sorry if I stepped someones toes - was just making a fun remark without looking to much at the results.

Do PCM 18 and PCM 15 have the same jersey size? If not have we decided which version we are going to be using next year so we know which size we need to get jersey's made for.

18 goes by the PCM 16 template and PCM 15 uses the PCM 12 template. Should you want to maintain the same jersey resizing is pretty easily done and has been done for the test db we ran and it doesn't look bad.

Do we have any PCM18 jersey makers in our midst that are open to MG jersey commisions (I note sotD's site wide request on the PCM18 graphics thread is as yet unanswered)? I am seriously considering a re-branding for my WCC team, but in the absence of jersey assistance this would prove very difficult. If proves a major stumbling block, will maintain WCC branding.
A secondary (related) question. Is it envisioned that the 'Amateur' teams or some similar form focussed largely on rider development will re-occur in the new season? (I hope so, as thought was a good innovation unless we have enough team managers that there is no/limited space in the CT division, in which case of course 'full' teams should obviously take precedence!).

Could we update the xmls to make points jerseys at least possible for sprinters to win in stage races - not in Andorra etc. but in GTs, Suisse, Vancouver etc?
Just wanted to bump this as there wasn't a discussion and I guess that's the kind of thing to be thought about now
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Assuming we double up TT's again this season for the 1 day events like Celtic Chrono can we please use the same route for both days.
Celtic Chrono itself is a very good indicator as to why this is needed as the first day was pan flat and favoured my rider Olman, who got second on the first day and managed to hang on to a 9th place finish.
The completely flat first day negates half the hill factor of the second day and drastically changed the outcome of the result by doing so, this should not be allowed to continue.
Leaving it the way it is lowers the value of riders like Zoidl who can TT and Hill compared to just TT guys in events like this that would be designed to have an impact on both stats by halving the impact of the hill stat compared to what the route was designed for it to be judging by the second day that used to be the only day run.

On the graphics request I was lucky enough that no less than 3 managers/shirt makers contacted me through PM so it's not impossible. I don't know how much time they have though - but it can be done
