Points against this behaviour:
-as I said this is not best mafia move, in particular declaring it (or maybe double-cross?), but what's the point to keep this line carrying on with the game? Stay far from the lights?--> typical mafia behaviour
-if you are town, mafia will point at you in first night kills, you are not a person that the doctor will likely save, as useless for city investigations
-if you have a power pro-town role city needs you, so or in the future you have to interact more, or don't follow a so suspicious behaviour, otherwise none will follow you
I know how things work. Pointing out obvious strategy is suspicious though. More often than not, people who very loudly shout 'TOWN DO THIS' are either evil, or a very strong town role. And there are no strong town roles in this game.
Now why would I want people to come at me? I have no idea how any of you converse or play nor did I follow the meta that was in the last game. And poking a little bit and see who slips up and falls into pattern isn't such a bad thing for town is it not?

Ok, but maybe you'll die before you get the point.
Doctor and detective aren't powerful roles iyo?

They're essential roles, I wouldn't say theyre powerful necessarily. Considering doctors cannot heal themselves (not even once, as in ToS) and with framer in the game, detective loses a lot of oomph, when there is nothing to counter the frame

And dying is not a problem, someone has to die, and town can afford losing one. My main goal is to leave a trail for people who like to read, and can figure things out.

Okay then, actually maybe you talked more than what you wanted, but that's just good, I hope you'll continue this way...
Last thing I have to say is that if you want people point at you because you are saying nothing, maybe you can attract also clean intentioned ones, not a good trail to follow

I like that more from you. However I’m worried at you two not wanting to lynch - do we want to give the mafia a freebie kill tonight which gives us very little clues?

Yes, I've said my piece, I'll see if anyone else actually has something you say, cause both you and jandal were saying nothing with a bunch of words

Sorry, those four points on how to act weren’t enough substance? I’ve said how I think we should play at the moment and also put a lynch in to get things going (as has sammy). Can’t do much more yet, hopefully we can work together on this though and we can be convinced of each ither’s good intentions through actions today

Since there is no 'defence on the stand' mechanic, I have absolutely zero reason to vote right now. There's no heat to be given, and most of us will be free on Friday and Saturday morning to bring it

Well, it seems we're already arguing over pretty much nothing, although I guess debates over hypothetical strategies is pretty much all we ever have to go on Day 1 unless someone does something really stupid.
So while I'm here, I'll just let everyone know that I am indeed Pro-Town this game.

Guess we just have differing styles - I think early lunches force “the heat” to build earlier and force people to become active and maybe cause a mafia slip-up. Hope you’re right though

early votes only do one thing - make town follow mafia.

If anything early votes were used in the past to make the quiet people speak up, lynching them required them to defend and get active (or not and face the consequence of death). But the new posting quota pretty much takes care of that, so early votes are just based on previous history now I guess.

That was surprisingly fast for some arguments to start, I personally think that at the very least it's important to get some lynch votes going day 1 at the very least just because it encourages conversation as the most valuable tool we have to beat the mafia is forcing them to post a lot to give us potential clues or just a vibe at the very least, there often isn't very much hard evidence in this game.
Anyway, Knockout's guidelines that Jandal posted from last game are pretty good rules to generally follow at the start. Also, Jandal seems to be taking the lead for the town a little bit, which imo is great because he seems quite trustworthy so far at least but we just all have to be a tad wary (although I only say this because he's been running this game so long so I assume he's an expert ) of the technically possible control the town as mafia strategy. That said, he seems like the most trustworthy guy so far because he's been the most committed to keeping things organised and moving forward.
Otherwise, there's not too much to say quite yet I guess, but the important thing is to go ahead and say what you can to start more discussions.
Also, Sammy's current voting pattern seems as good as any for the start so I'm going to follow his strategy of going from the bottom up with people who haven't posted and cast a Lynch TMM vote, which I'll take away as soon as he posts.

I have early lunches when I'm hungry, but if that's what they do for you, that's cool.

I just posted those because nobody had posted for 2 hours, I don't want to try be a leader any more than I have to as nobody should - I know because I made the same post as knockout and I am a "assumed expert" people might expect that, but over-reliance on knockout was a flaw in some previous games - an over-reliance on a first-time player would be much worse

I find early day 1 lynch votes a good way to get people to post early in the day instead of letting them hide until late in the day.
The sooner we get people posting the sooner we will have something to go on and the sooner we can start looking for mistakes and inconsistencies in people's posting patterns and logic and the sooner we can start trying to read into people's intentions and figuring out why they believe what they do and whether or not it's right.
Going through the list trying to draw out an early post from everyone, I'll move on to the next person who hasn't posted and doesn't have a vote yet.
[b] Lynch Jseadog [b]
Obviously once everyone has posted once I'll have something from everyone to evaluate and can use that as a basis to start probing deeper. I just hope it isn't too far into the first day before that happens.

Not sure if the vote still counts with me messing up the code on the first attempt so just to be sure

That's fair and again, I think it's a good sign that you're willing to take charge and be active from the start and as long as it's not full on Knockout level reliance, having somebody to keep things moving can be a benefit to the town if it's less reliance and more facilitating discussion and good play, like you were doing.

the good play here is obvious one, but I'm gonna save my bullets until the weekend
