Thought it deserved a thread as most of the Tour stars will be starting in an interesting week of racing. If Froome wins, this is not the right topic to bitch about it.
Anyway, Boasson Hagen wins the first stage ahead of Gilbert and van Aert. Don’t think any favourites lost time today. |

Does it deserve a thread? Of course.
Will it get any discussion given the state of PCM Daily? Unlikely.

*Forums in general.
Social media has taken over at last, and forums are dying. |

One can always try to encourage the community, even though it is very small right now. But yeah, for me it is even difficult to check the forum regularly during weekdays, we grow old, we get busier, but I’ll try to come here to this thread and leave some thoughts. |

I am looking forward to see what Porte, Dumoulin and Quintana can do here. I believe only these guys and maybe Yates can beat Froome (yes i do not believe in Pinot, Bardet et al)
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Fun stage today. Teuns won in a break formed around 25km to go, Guillaume Martin came 2nd. Names like Porte, Martin, Bardet and Kruijswijk lost around 25 seconds to Froome et al. Dumoulin out of contention but was on the breakaway so not bad. |

Yeah, a crazy strong early break (likes of Dumoulin, Buchmann, Gaudu, Di Marchi, Alaphilippe and Haig) that INEOS went full Sky after. They just about held it but used everyone up bar Poels. Everyone on the limit towards the end!

I will never pick Bouhanni on Velogames ever again. He does not disappoint and he is out of the Dauphine even before sprint stage

Phil Phil Phil Same here.
However my big exams I've studied for 2 years are this weekend so I'm hopefully free from 17th of June. (Depending on how the exam goes as well, tho)

Froome crashed in the recon of the TT and is out of the race. No updates on the injuries yet but it's possible that he won't be at the Tour.

Ineos are incredibly unlucky this year. They will nevertheless have the same posture - with or without Froome at the Tour - but this is not the way I wanted him to not step the top podium spot in this race. :/ |

Exactly. But think of Richie Porte when considering the luck
I think it is a rule that it must happen to every GC star at least once (Contador, Evans, more recently Dumoulin).

What is it with Froome and crashing in TTs?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I think several of the current GC stars would be happy had it happened just once to them. |

Yes thats true. There are rumors that he broke his leg/pelvis. That would be tough.
