Really, really awesome preview, not much more to say that hasn't been said. Kudus to you Jandal, he'll be a good fit and if you train him right he could win one day.
Interesting battle between Spilak and Taaramae, Taaramae forgot to bring Veyhe, which could be a harmful move, but the huge support for Krasno might be enough that nobody else has a response.
Boom can win stages please, and Ahlstrand so that Vantomme feels better. Stolz prologue win and Evonik being Evonik will also be fun. Calling the Dekker podium now too.
Let three weeks of Krasno domination begin!

As others have said, fantastic preview. Can't wait to get going.
Desigual is gunning for stage wins and a Top 10 for Nibali — that's probably asking for too much, I know.

Fantastic preview Jandal, more than worthy of The Grande Boucle!
Will be following loaned-out Venturini's progress with Desigual with interest, as well as obviously the top battle for honours which looks like a two-horse race, but I guess Gesink should not be counted out either to mount a strong challenge.
Good luck to all participants, and here's hoping for a great edition to match up to the preview and I'm sure high quality reporting to come!

Very sorry I didn't get a Gesink shot - and my reporting wasn't great. Rest assured both counts should improve - Gesink will be in a photo before the end of Le Tour
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Argh. Would have been too good to be true, if we had won this first stage.. Dennis with his best performance since joining us, but it ain't enough for something special. Not sure about Boom's prologue stat, but this looks like quite a shocker to me.

Very nice to see the race rolling!
Not a good start by our team thuogh. Kind of as expected when there was no mention of Paillot early, but neither was it for a bunch of those guys that flew the course, like Boom and Dennis, so I got hopeful again for a while But that was only to realize Paillot probably was done for the day with a bad performance not worth mentioning Fingers crossed he finds his Dauphine legs for the individual time trial!
And cool to see Boom win, congratulations, roturn! It feels like age will never catch up with him in this game |

Not a Great Start, but at least no yellow jersey for Taaramae.

Mixed feelings here:
Happy for Leung's good result, white jersey and team's classification
On the other hand Intxausti being the worst of the lot and Leung failing to take the top prize are downers.
Boom though, what a legend. You can never rule him out. Congrats roturn. A crucial victory there!

Hopefully Grosu can take a stage win here and be amongst the contenders pretty much every sprint finish. I didn't send Van Poppel here because I thought Grosu wouldn't have the chance to get his own train (which usually happens in the big races) and I didn't want to waste the training money on a lead-out
Gesink looks to be a favorite for a podium this year too. So, go Bobby!

If Grosu keeps following his train it will be pretty much impossible for him to get a win here.
#1 transfer target: lead-out sprinter for Grosu
