So you didn't make a discussion thread for the hotly anticipated C2 race "100% Free Genuine Passports"? I really had high hopes for Kaspa there.
Also, does that make you batman now?
btw, did anybody else notice that the site banner was changed from TDU to PN/TA?

Someone out there still cares

Very nice to see, as small as it is. On the other hand, it's sad that activity is so low that we are surprised by it.

To be fair, it was rare to see that banner changed even when activity was high, it was an awesome idea, but in practise it was always going to be hard to have it consistently on the right race.

Very true, and that's why when it was voted on back in the day, I voted against it in favor of a permanent design. But here we are.

I also voted against it, but I was biased, since I thought my banner was better. Nothing will ever beat the original banner tho.

I agree, I saw the old one again somewhere recently and was surprised by how great it was.

That banner was such a classic. When I was looking back at my first posts in the Wayback machine recently, I couldn't help but get nostalgic seeing it. It was eye catching yet simple. It encapsulated the essence of the game and the community perfectly.
I know that just me being nostalgic, and graphically it would be very outdated today (technically the textures in it were outdated my the time I joined the site), but to me, it still signifies everything about PCM Daily during those glory days.
Just thinking about it makes me yearn for that time. I would see that banner 50 times a day just browsing and refreshing, waiting for new things to discover, discuss, and rage at people over. And back then, I didn't have to wait long.
Man, I hate time.

Now you made me sad for a second
I'm curios, since I actually don't know the original banner 100% correctly anymore: where did you see it?
And as for the slowness of the site. It's indeed a shame. I will try to get to our guy, who used to be responsible for stuff like that.

With many parallel races I yesterday struggled to decide which banner to activate...TA/PN? MSR? Cobbles?
So might just go back to default until it`s same banner for a longer while such as GTs etc.

Woah, the old banner is back! That's some cool nostalgia.

Somebody posted a screenshot of the front page from a while ago recently, I think it might've been in that thread about posts that didn't age well?

Is this what you're looking for? It was in the thread
I first came to the site in 2013 so I really don't know how the original one was but I'm really curious now and I feel this might not be it

Well, original is maybe not quite right, because iirc, the site went through a complete forum redesign somewhere around 2009. But yup, that's the one we're talking about. And now it's back thanks to Roturn.
I posted the screen cause I thought it was cool to see that the wayback screen captured when I was online 8 whole years ago.

Wow, I remember that David Veilleux story, I used to follow it very closely and it looks like as if it were only yesterday. Can't believe how the years fly past. |

Figured with the old banner coming back it was a good time to return from my 6 month break
Been following Man-Game stuff from afar but been too busy to be properly active, but should be back and reasonably active from now on |
