While I love to see Bertillsson winning, in especially after I think I reported his win last year in America, I don't understand how the game allows 78+ riders to participate while Groenewegen is ignored...far too many sprinter points missed this season already.
79 sprinters get protected all stage. Groenewegen is protecting Dekker all stage....just makes no sense. |

Hmm, unfortunately that was a really bad sprint by Tzortzakis who had the right wheel... Huge win by Bertilsson after taking 2nd on the first sprint stage.

Bertilsson? Well, that's a surprise. Guess Ahlstrand is starting to feel the pressure back in Sweden. Congrats viking.
Strong effort from Avelino. I'm still hopeful of a victory here, but two podiums in the first week is rather pleasing, honestly.
I feel you roturn. Groenewegen seems to have forgotten how to do what he did last year. Thanks for another report and for the consistency of your pace!

disappointment after disappointment is what this race has been for me, and to see Van Winden lose 8 min in this stage leads me to believe that he is injured which would be very bad for the TTT

Weird stuff by the team in the leadout, a big mess, really. We need to get it right to deliver Ciolek, that's the only thing that's certain, so hopefully we'll be able to do just that on stage 7.

I doubt that Van Winden is injured when crash is set to “0”.

Whats going on? I bet his hill stat was important here and the first sprint stage aswell.
It´s a weird result and I feel with you manager who have sprinter doing worse then they should. |

We even brought some artificial suspense by messing up the leadout.
I hope the points jersey will give Demare a tiny bit of extra motivation now, he could really use a bigger gap to the climbers if we don't want to gamble on breaks taking the mountain stages.

Weird stage. The flat rating seems a bit off there. To see GC guys fighting for podium places is kinda awkward.
Nice to have Demare take this obvious stage. Now we can enjoy cio's lack of moaning for a few hours before the next stage

Congratulations, cio! By far the stage with the biggest stage favourite pre-race, I think, and nice to see Demare deliver.
Now please, Ciolek, time for you to also deliver. After all, this stage 7 is likely to be his best shot at a win all stages considered, as it comes early with bare any climbing in the legs. |

Pretty anonymous racing from us the last days, as expect. Both Stake Laengen and Iturria doung pretty good, sitting at around 30th place. Good also to see Olsson in the break the other day. Hopefully more of that when the real opportunities for a win from the break comes around.
Brilliant racing by Démare on todays stage, congrats cio!
