A well earned win on the day, shame i dislike Valv so much it feels hollow to see Bardet, Woods and Tom all behind him. Unfortunately he does taint my view of this race, and it's such a shame because it was a brilliant finale and he absolutely earned it on the road.
That final Holl climb was awesome! So tough, so steep and so race defining. I wish the Juniors, U23 and Women could have raced it as well. But thnkfully we at least had it here because the main climb provided so little.
Kennaugh opened it up, but you could see how fast it was as a climb that gaps were so tough to make and that such a peloton could still roll along.
Valgren should be very happy as well, he had a great ride. Same for Moscon.

Honestly, i would have prefered Dumo stealing the win with the attack he was meant to do with 900 metres to go, but Valverde saw it perfectly and he stopped.
But a Spanish WC is great for me anyway

This. I'm pleased Valverde won only from a(n otherwise failing) Velogames point of view and that's it...
Anyway it was certainly a stirring finale from the little I saw, especially with Dumoulin hanging in there until the death.

Valverde, man. There are young guys retiring in their early 30's and then there are those late bloomers who can last till they're almost 40, but there's nobody like Piti.
Anyway I'm mostly relieved to see Moscon out of it. That the silver lining here!

I'm probably the only one on this forum that like Moscon like rider, I would have liked to see him on podium instead of Bardet, that I don't particularly appreciate. BTW well deserved, I was hoping for Valverde or Nibali and this outcome fully satisfies me.
in the end one of the best emotional celebrations ever seen in cycling. Well done Piti

If the doping was a one time mistake, I can say I'm really happy for him and he deserves this win. It always was a huge gap in his career, he just needs Lombardia now.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Valverde deserves that.
Btw, let Costa just ride in WC events. Probably if there wasnt that final climb, Costa could win a medal. |

Why you hate Moscon?
Because he is bad boy?
One of most interesting cyclists on he’s generation. He can do anything. Sprint, climb, ride at stones, classics you name it.
I would sign him fast. |

I'm no Valverde fan, but something about this just kind of feels right.

Woods is like new Dan Martin. As he looks and racing.
Valverde is beast. Great , emotional result after not that shiny Gt summer..
Bardet looked disappointed. Why? He had no chance against Valverde on this sprint. Even when old man lead out all final km |

Cipollini was a bad boy, Moscon is a scumbag. Racism, punching other riders and deliberately causing crashes is criminal behaviour.
