I honesty haven’t a single clue how Keizer could be so god damn fucking awful in three mountain stages. So many lower level GC guys above him. Ugh

Second place on the final stage! Some good racing by Úran despite not winning, Pluchkin is just too strong for PCT. Congrats Popo!
Overall a great way to bounce back after Catalunya, with some points in the teams classification as well.
Thanks for the reports Tamijo

It's a real shame to miss out on a really big score from this race because of that weird day where Kudus lost 12 minutes to similar riders, but a Top10 isn't that bad, given he got some stage results, added to U25 win and 5th in Points.
Nice try by Novak today, but wasn't really decisive that he finished in the first group to make up a lot of places, so while the depth here was great, it could have been slightly better. 21st+26th+28th+36th + 2nd in Teams + 2nd in U25 makes for a big amount of points, with a total of 155 from this race, but before S5 i was hoping for something bigger than 200, so now it doesn't feel like a great race.
Kudus still got almost 100 points himself from this race, so already up to 400 points in the season after only a third of his RD's done. He's looking great to surpass his amount of points of 2017 and getting closer to the 1 P/k ratio.
Thanks for the report Tamijo, and congrats for the expected win fjhoekie

Colombians getting 3-4-5 in their home race. Too bad Henao couldn't be 3
Top 5 was the target and Henao got there in the end, in a roundabout way! Stage 4 really hurt us otherwise he probably could've been on the podium. Not much points elsewhere which isn't really a surprise though.
Congrats on the easy win fjhoekie. And thanks for the reports Tamijo

That was an absolute shitshow for us, just pure awful overall. The fact Velits so obviously can be good yet isn't is just baffling. A second stage win and bugger all else HC race where top 5 was needed, if we have too many more races like this then our first PCT dream is flushed away.
On a brighter note, thanks Tamijo

And an excellent final stage to wrap up a great race for us Duarte overperforming makes this a fantastic score for us. GC 4th, KoM and a stage win.
Thanks for the reports

I'll take Nazaret finishing 8th in the GC following his poor stage earlier in the race but I don't see why he wasted so much energy on that final stage to get Top 5 GC and lost 2 places as a result. Don't mind 1 or 2 attacks but 4 is simply too much for him. The added bonus of 5th in the KOM is nice and 6th in Youth from Milos.

Smart ride from Senni to keep his GC. All in all a good race for us. Thanks Tamijo, nice reporting!

Woo, almost a top 10 by Manfredi! His stats suited this race a lot, and even though I was a little disappointed in the earlier stages, he attacked his way up to probably our first overperformance of the season. That's very promising for races like the ToA in the future.
Thanks Tamijo |

Well, Garby tried again. Gotta give him props for that. It wasn't meant to be with too many strong riders wanting to keep it together. Still, I like his tenacity. 17th is fine. Probably could have been a little more, but he race aggressively and sometimes that is risky. The race overall had no success for us, but I expected that once Appo abandoned. Escaping here without a 0 pointer is a mini success in itself.
Congrats to fjhoekie and thank you to Tamijo for continuously awesome reporting!

We were in a vicious battle for last with the control team in the Teams clas. But we dropped to 2 riders left and defeated them convincingly.
Seriously, only Malecki and Cherkasov finished that race. At least Cherkasov got in two breaks. Couldn't expect anything, but good try at least.
Congrats to Pluchkin, not surprising at all! And Thanks Tamijo, some really top quality reports there!

Not what WCC were looking/hoping for. After a good showing on stages 2+3, Ji just went slowly downhill in the GC due to the wind split on stage 4, then a horror show on stage 5 where he shipped a crap-load of time to guys with similar/worse stats. Rallied to have a decent showing on the final stage, but not nearly as decisive/important a mountain stage as the majority of the others. So he ends up about half a dozen places lower on GC than we were looking for. Without much significant back-up point-scoring, ppRD for our home race is a bit underwhelming. Not as big a fail as some others, but then again a number of over-performers finished above .
Thanks to Tamijo for the reports, and congrats to Popo/Plu-bear on delivering on favourites status.

Congrats to Pluchkin and his slave driver of an owner, bringing him to far too many races this year
Surprising results for Manfredi, Nazaret and even Duarte, overall. Congrats to all the relevant managers.
Thanks for the reports Tamijo - we would have loved to see a bit more strategy in Valls' aggression, but at least it was there. Hoping that he can manage to rein in his interesting tactics for the major races this year, e.g. Tour of Vancouver and Tour of America.
This was unfortunate, but not unexpected with Pluchkin at the race - at least he rolled the dice.
