Team Time Trial Mixed Relay - an all new event where a 3-man team does a lap, then when they finish a 3-woman team does their lap, fastest combined time wins. Holy sh*t am i f*cking excited for this one!!!
But what's the point? They are holding a World Championship in an event that doesn't exist. It stinks of political correctness sneaking its way into elite sport.
The men have the men's race. The women have the women's race. At no point during the racing year do the two mix so why do we need a shitty mixed relay race like you'd have at a school sports day? It's pathetic, they'll be racing while balancing bean bags on their heads next.

I like the difference in location to the main Flanders classics we get in the spring, mostly because we get those every spring with the top riders. Makes for something a little different, as i for one don't watch Brabatse or Jef Scherens on TV
It is, but you can make a route like that in any country. Last time it was Zolder (the racing circuit) for a boring sprint race and I fear this will not be much better. The last time we saw the cobbled climbs in a WC was in 1988 (Ronse). It's a missed opportunity in my opinion, even more so because Leuven is far from the best city. Antwerp has the start, so you won't see much of it and Bruges has the TT finish, but the main event has laps in a boring city.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

It's not a World Championship, it's an exhibition event. No-one gets to claim a rainbow jersey at the end. And it ties in strongly to the UCI's continued advancement and development of the womens sport.
Showcasing women directly up against the men over the same distance and same course, it's awesome.
The Para events arn't worlds either, just races to make the most of the occasion and week. Got problems there as well?

If it's an exhibition event then that's different. As you say, it will be something different to watch. Only thing is that being an exhibition event will any of the top riders take it seriously? Especially on the Men's side.
My main problem is the sports don't mix. By mixing the men and women you are creating something that isn't real and therefore is completely pointless. You and the UCI keep talking about promoting and advancing the women's sport, but is making it a sideshow the way to go? If you want to promote it then promote it. Don't turn it into an exhibition "freakshow".

I'm impressed they managed to find a place with a worse human rights situation than Qatar to organize an event. Next time North Korea or Eritrea?

In more WC announcement news, the WC in 2025 is already confirmed for Africa. So far it seems like Morocco and Rwanda are interested. Imagine GP Kigali profile with these crowds

Peter Sagan resigns with Bora-Hansgrohe until 2021, and the team said in the press conference yesterday that he might take part in next year's Giro d'Italia.
Also, his brother Juraj, Erik Baska, Maciej Bodnar and Marcus Burghardt have all signed new contracts with the team, alledgely until 2021 too
