I hope Dowsett doesn't block Pichon, if so you might be in trouble
Boivin will be fun though! |

Relatively pleased, though it was a struggle to get here! Hopefully this'll be enough to consolidate for a season in the division

Generali - EDF 2018:
Would be a lie if I said I don't aim to promote this year after last season I had a weaker team in pretty much all areas and I was predicted by everyone to be near the top 5. The calendar also fits us better. Need to have a look at all the other squads though. |

I have sacrificed my great mountain team of last season for a more all round team which we suit more going forward. Not sure if we will bounce straight back to PCT though.

Looks like we're headed for another relegation fight with even less climbing than last year, but at least we'll get to have fun on the cobbles and hope PCM AI doesn't completely screw us!
Plus, I should have enough guys for my own l'Avenir team, which will be cool. None of my talents will ever be leaders, but should have solid depth once they're maxed.

Fablok anno 2018. Season of whether we will promote to PT or will have to do a big rebuild next season. Mohs with an unlucky season last year and the fact that Hagen and TvG were dominating our precious hills kept us away from promotion. New point scoring leader in Ignatiev, but heavily overshadowed by Coppel and Costa. Better depth than last year. So overall a bit stronger than last year

Two draft picks to come but here is my completed squad. Very happy with the rebuild post relegation and we have good support for our main leaders (Pinot & Keukeleire) and solid riders for Hills and Cobbles.
Confident going into the season, and looking forward to see how it pans out.

Certainly strong grounds to be feeling confidence for the GCN ProTeam. Expecting a good battle with Valio to be the best of the relegated teams, as you have both adapted your situations admirably. Couple of unruly upstarts coming up on the outside should make for a really competitive and fun CT division this year. Pinot may have been a bit 'streaky' in terms of PCT results last season, but he should deliver lots of joy in CT. The cobbled set-up has somewhat of a familiar look to it as well if I squint and tilt my head while looking at it! . Only minor quibble might be the need for all 3 77 sprint guys; might have been worth an extra puncheur instead? Given how minor a point that is, and that you even found room for young riders Krul and Gibbons, I'd give you a gold star for performance this transfer window .

First season I have not had a large Wage Cap to play with and work got in the way of pre transfers research so didn't really have a plan and panicked a bit meaning I did not get the best value out of my deals. Its all good learning experience. I couldn't understand why there was so much interest in Pascal Ackermann who I released until I got time to check the Transfers DB and saw he had been given a little boost
Managed to get better depth in the hills and sprinting departments at the expense of mountains and cobbles, expect to be similar mid table in the PCT as last year. My Sprint, Hills and Cobbles leads are all 32 years old so there may be trouble ahead ...
New recruits are in green, loan out in brown. Trying to level up my L4 talents via Wildcards so fingers crossed.

I had promised myself to not comment on any more teams and wait for the full post-transfer/training DB and maybe write a review or 2, but can't avoid this:
Kraftwerk - Flügel, Schädlich, Willwohl, Paulus <3
I really, really hope you do well and with a bit of luck you can fight for promotion. Flügels support team remind me of the support team he had when I promoted, and with weaker competition this year he should do better than last season. Cavendish is a great sprinter aswell and you have a strong depth. I really, really hope you do well!

Wow what a brilliant team D2B. Any team with Maillet has a fan in me <3
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

@Yellow Jersey: Would say promotion could be possible thanks to your strength in the Mountains and a few good TT riders but will be having quite a few low point scoring races with no hill specialists or sprinters.

Very cool that you picked up Oba in the draft. He was with me since my team was founded, but couldn't afford to keep him anymore. Very useful support rider for TTs and Cobbles and in prologues he can even fight for great results himself.
Two more riders that were on my team in the past with Kiserlovski and Uwizeyimana. Your team will definitely be a great one to follow for me. |

@LLS - Indeed, although they are limited, and it's not impossible in some harder hilly races to pick up some minimal points with our climbers.
@Bikex - That's awesome you sure do know how to pick cool riders I hope their presence isn't the only thing attracting attention tho

@yellowjersey
Great moutain squad Kiserlovski and Wabasse are both great climbers + stage racers at the CT level, but the inability to score at all on the flat and not having a great hill rider will probably be pretty limiting to your ability to score points. Hopefully Eeckhout really delivers on the cobbles for you.
you'll definitely be in the hunt to promote however, so good luck to you |

The focus is to really bring in tons of points out of the stage races, with TT's and specially TTT'S as a secondary supply.. Hills aren't out of the picture but certainly will be hard to score there, and sprints I recognize it's a big risk as I've had a great oportunity to have a solid CT sprinter but I'm hoping I made the right call
As for Eeckhout I don't have huge expectations, but having brought in 2 riders to support him I expect some constant scoring from him in the cobbles.
