Keeping it local, Andorran Oscar Cabanas is signed by ... guess who. |

Dupont looks like a great pick up, cobbled leadout

A 76 TT Australian was readily available in Richie Porte, but BNZ Cycling Team have decided to develop their own instead, signing Campbell Flakemore.
To be honest I just thought talents was a better direction to head. Effectively not paying for their first season of development is pretty good to me! Extra money to spend on them in the future!!

Dupont is an interesting rider, functions well on the cobbles and is also a capable lead out. Good signing by Adastra!

Campbell Flake-no-more finally garners his first professional contract at the age of 26. Better late than never! TT potential, but as quite 1D has been overlooked for a few transfer windows now. Seeing him join BNZ Cycling though makes reasonable sense for a team used to having to compete with (and lose out to) the heavyweights from Jayco/Bennelong for local talent.

I thought of Dupont, but I decided to completely ignore cobbles in the end |

Eddie Stobart sign James Curry. I don't know why either. |

Surprised it took this long for Dupont's name to come out of the hat. One of those most likely to pick up more than a handful of points in CT this season of the CT draft class. Think that makes the 2nd strong pick by Adastra if memory serves - making good use of the CT draft system in this inaugural edition.

From Strava to Adastra - Argon 18, another Belgian draft pick for them, in Timothy Dupont. And like many, he has some skill over the cobbles.
Yes
Awesome pick, love that Timmy found himself a new home

Surprised that Valio didn't pick Lindau back up instead, as he was a guy even I was thinking of targeting if my slots had shaken out a different way for my hills depth. Nice to see another Icelandic guy get a job again though!

It's well known that Brits love a good Curry. Unfortunately for Eddie Stobart, James is more like one of those dodgy ones you get after a few too many beers on a night out that leaves you suffering the next morning!
After a really solid choice in round 1 taking Erik Rowsell, Eddie Stobart seem to have taken a wrong turn of the roundabout here.

Campari - Super Dry sign another Italian veteran Marco Zanotti. He won a race in the very first PCT season (then referred to as CT), at Qinghai Lake. |

There were some good Kenyans available to be drafted - many missing the days of the Kenya Airways team, which made its all the way up to the PT. And one has now been picked up: Suleiman Kangangi by Equinor Pro Cycling. |

When putting together the draft list I felt I needed mountain and cobbles support more than a hill-guy more.
Would have loved to have him in board and really think it's sad if he's left unsigned, but I just didn't have the space

The draft is fantastic itself, but I absolutely love these small info-notes that follows each drafted rider. What a brilliant addition to the Man-Game! |
