CT teams will now be drafted two additional riders, at no wage cost.
I'll be collating the submissions and posting at least the first round of picks this evening.
Reactions can go in here. What strategy did you go for?

Looking forward to the draft!
Knowing I was the last one to get a pick in the first round, I went for some riders I thought would be gone before my turn, but if I'm lucky, I might get one of them. In the end of my short list there are some riders that would probably not be interresting for other teams.
Will be cool to see who we will wish welcome to Compal after the draw!
Nice new addition |

Will be interesting! If I was part of this I would go for the best level 1 talents. To avoid paying wages is a free development. If not I would look to sign the most versatile helpers or attackers to be gifted the best potential points.

There are some really interesting one-trick riders left. Wonder who is going to spice up the CT with them. |

At the top I've gone for a couple of guys that could score some points, but the rest are all talents

Very excited for this!
I've primarily arranged my lists to fill holes in my squad, so the first spot should go to a rider that can be second to last on Guarnieri's sprint train. The last pick is a bit more out in the open, but a decent cobbles domestique to help out Breen, van der Haar and Verbist is high on the list.

Split lists to increase support for König and on the cobbles.
Prioritizing previous riders I had to cut for relegation and regional riders.

This. Potentially if your team lacks strength in that area to begin with could be a game-changer for your season. Couple of sprinters have decent CT track records even if stat blocks have (many!) flaws.

.... and if you already have sprinters, the options could turn out to be roadblocks, so this instead!

I have gone for African cobbles support for this season, and a future British cobbles support rider a top picks. I have looked to add to depth in my picks across my focus nations / continents rather than look for a one-trick rider as it has been named.
Back up picks are former riders who missed out in renewals post relegation and weren't high enough in the transfer target lists to warrant a FA bid.
I only have 6 people on my list

Rounnd 1 results will be revealed shortly. 17 teams have successfully entered the draft; Telia-Brussels Airlines and Anhold-Delhaize have not, so will relinquish their draft positions. |

First pick of all is Marco Guillén. He featured in 4 teams lists - and was top choice for 3 of them. With 81 sprint he had the highest base stat of all remaining riders, albeit with backup stats that evidently discouraged others.
17 career victories on last update, but also only 17 ranking points in PCT last season. |

No surprise that Guillen first out of the hat. Given my comment 3 or 4 up, and Swisslion squad, a very good choice in circumstances I reckon. Well done!
