Biggest signing of the season, take it you don't need Taaramae now then?

Big changes to the team, but now we are finished, so without further ado lets make a presentation of T-Mobile 2018
Goals
Win Pro Tour
Win Tour de France
Win GP Liecthenstein
Win Dauphine Libere or Paris-Nice
Win Apex Mountain Classic
We selected modest goals this year, and expect Rein to deliver at least 4 of 5 for us...
Team presentation
Captains
Rein Taaramäe
The one and only, winning GP Liechtenstein and Tour de Suisse last year, but several crashes kept him of the wanted Tour de France victory. This year we have decided to strenghten the team around him even more and hope for him to fight for the number one spot in the final standings
Tejay van Garderen
Signed from Desigual for a team record 3.000.000 and expected to deliver at once. He lead Newton Foundation to promotion last year, but also got a strong history of great results in the Pro Tour. He will lead the team in every race he races
Jacob Fiedler
Since selling Flügel last year we have missed a German leader, and here he is. Signed for 1.300.000 he is one of the best Time Trialists in the world, and with Jerome Coppel stepping down to PCT this should be Jacobs year! Main goals will be Chrone des Nations and WC ITT this year, might also help Rein in races with TTTs
Florentino Marquez
Signed as a part of the Mattia Cattaneo deal Florentino walks straight into the second leader role. Got a fantastic kick that should let him continue his great PCT form into PT. He will get to lead the team in a GT this year, expecting a top 10
Georg Preidler
A bit of off-season training has seen Georg strenghtening his position as third leader on climbs, and also a great second guy in hilly races. We hope for Georg to continue his good form from last year and deliver some good results. As last year he will also lead the team in a GT, hoping for a top 15
Sprinters
Mitch Docker
The mangame legend, after feeling unwanted by many teams last year he decided to sign for us on a minimum contract. He is a former GT stage winner and while his best days might be behind him we want to give him a last chance at some real glory! He is still a good sprinter, and does not fear speed bumps as much as many other sprinters
Geoffrey Soupe
Very similar rider to Mitch and we will try to split them up as much as possible, Soupe also signed on a minimum contract and will be given a lot of chances over the season.
Rüdiger Selig
A developing German sprinter who might be given some small chances this year, but will also help Docker and Soupe. He walks into the position Willwohl had last year
Rein-bots
Mikayil Krasnoperov
One of the shock signings of the transfer season, a rider that has for many reasons never lived up to the hope many teams has had for him. However, based on many teams believing he could be their climbing solution he has also earned quite a lot of money, this season he decided to sign for the minimum as a climbing domestique.
Artemio Moschella
Artemio cant do anything on a flat road, or on small hills, or in a sprint. BUT when the roads rise for a long time he is an ace. He will ride in a pure domestique role, drag our captains up mountains, help get them water and then rest when they attack.
Alexandre Geniez
A strong support rider who can do a bit of everything we want from a Rein-bot. He can climb, he can ride hills and he can time-trial. Will be an important domestique all around the Pro Tour circus this year
David Wöhrer
One of the few returning riders this season. David is a good climber and attacker. We hope he can have a combo-role like Egger had last year with both supporting our leaders and joining breakaways.
Delio Fernandez
The last signing after Egger left, a pretty similar rider. A good climber and attacker that will have the same role as Wöhrer. His strenght is his sprint from a small group that we hope will serve him well this season.
Enrico Battaglin
A swap with Christoph Mai gave us a pretty similar rider, but with a better kick. He will do a lot of the same that Mai did with helping our captains, but might have a better chance at breakaways as well.
Time-Trialists
Andreas Hofer
Signed in a swap with Christoph Taubel he finally joins us. We have wanted to sign Hofer since he went pro and now he's here! He is strong against the clock and will follow Fiedler around as well as joining the climbers when there are TTTs on the calander.
Kevin Predatsch
He has been owned and signed by the team for many years, but mostly going out on loan. This season he will stay with the team and serve the same role as Andreas Hofer
Thomas Bontenackels
Part of the deal that sent out Willi Willwohl and Daniel Paulus he is another rider we have wanted for serveral years. Strong against the clock and also a capable climber he will be important for our GC leaders this year
Cobblers
Michael Schwarzmann
Given the job as our only guy that can even ride cobbles at all... Michael is a nice rider, but we leave him no chance, if he can get even a single point above minimum we count it as a win. On the other hand he is also a pretty capable rider, so expect to see him in breakaways and helping our sprinters.
Talent
Emanuel Buchmann
The future hope of the team, one season away from being a leader on the team. This year he will be given some chances to lead, will help TVG a lot and given the chance to ride a GT. Will be an important development year for Emanuel.
Loanies
Maani Altanzul
Loaned in as an allround support rider, a nice kick, not bad on the hills and a fine part of a TTT squad.
Gregor Muhlberger
Returning for a second stint with the team. A good puncheur-domestique that will also be given some chances to attack for stage wins
Torkil Veyhe
Loaned in to cover one of the big team weaknesses on the flat. Will be sent around as a domestique to cover for this weakness
Connor McCutcheon
A loanie that covers both as a good domestique and as a fellow American for record signing van Garderen. He is a good cover both on climbs and hills and will see a lot of racing this season.

Those are certainly some modest goals you've chosen there
Scary thing is that they're all completely possible, and would not surprise me if you made a clean sweep. However if you could have a chat to Rein and ask if he could take it easy during the Apex Classic, that'd be much appreciated
The mountain goats Krasno and Moschella should serve their purpose pretty well, especially considering you were able to pick them both up for bottom dollar.
All the best for the coming season - I'm sure you won't need it however

Fantastic transfer season, you're team looks super strong this year. I love the idea of Krasnoperov and Moschella as cheap climbing support and i hoped to see them in that role for years

TDF has a debt with Rein after last year, so i hope he can win it this year. You basically build your team around the TDF route, with a decent TTT squad and lots of superdomestiques or Rein-bots
5/5 in goals incoming?

Awesome team! I love the balance between awesome domestiques (Krasno, Moschella) and boring one trick ponies (Marquez ) seems like a great way to get cheap strong support for Taaramae!
With Tejay and Fiedler as well, you'll kill this season!
Thanks for taking on Veyhe too! One of (if not my favourite) favourite riders on my team so really hope he can support your leaders well as your 2nd strongest roleur, I think he'll make an awesome domestique and I'm dreaming of one late stage attack somewhere in the season.

Your team is absolutely sick, you should be DQ'd from the game With no crashes this year you have a very serious chance of reaching the title!

Really brutal team, looking forward to see if you really do have what it takes to take it home this year.

Lots of great posts, thank you guys. Will try to somewhat answer all below (sorry if I miss one or two)
My plan for the offseason was pretty much get TVG and Fiedler (PMs where started pretty much right off the bat) and then just get as strong as possible after that. I showed interest in a lot of riders and some I will most likely regret not trying harder for... Really wanted to get a better sprinter, but when I had the chance on Marquez I just didn't have the cap for it
Anyway, a really great transfer season and I really had some great talks with a lot of poeple! Thank you very much (You all know who you are)!

Quite sure Rein could make some of them. ;-)
I'll tell him to take it easy in Apex, maybe just let his train destroy everyone else and then ride slowly over the line.

Thanks, I really hope it works out, when I saw them without bids I couldn't help myself

You are a dreamer ;-)

Thanks, maybe I'm just kidding with Rein and you will all see him in the Vuelta

I really hope he can get some good results this year, that would be awesome. Getting Rein-bots was my main idea this transfer season after the leaders where secured.
I doubt I can get the 5th goal, but 4 of them should be possible

Thank you, I expect big things from Krasno and Moschella ;-)
I really hope Tejay and Fiedler will give me a sting I've never had before.
Veyhe is a good addition, I hope your dream comes true

I am quite happy with the team, but I do believe there are better teams, I have my leaders and my support for Rein, but there are big holes in my squad. Anyway, thank you very much

T-Mobile Grand Tour Squads
Tour de France
Rein Taaramäe
Jacob Fiedler
Emanuel Buchmann
Thomsa Bontenackels
Mikayil Krasnoperov
Artemio Moschella
Alexandre Geniez
Andreas Hofer
Goal: Win
There are nothing we want to win more than this. Rein failed last year because of falling, but this year nothing will stop us. We have assambled the best team possible for Rein with a squad that can help him on all terrains, from the flats (Fielder, Hofer), to the hills (Buchmann) to the mountains (Krasnoperov, Bontenackels, Mochella, Geniez). In addition to this the squad should be very strong on the TTT. Everything has been done to make this possible, and it is up to Rein to deliver.
Giro d'Italia
Georg Preidler
Mitch Docker
Rudiger Selig
Maani Altanzul
Michael Schwarzmann
Gregor Muhlberger
Toril Veyhe
Connor McCutcheon
Goal: Stage win, top 15
We had a great result in the Giro last year with Cattaneo, but it is not a priority this year. Georg Preidler will be the captain and will try to grab a stage win and maybe go for KoM and top 15. Mitch Docker will try his legs in the sprints and we have sent the best support we can for him. No big expectations, but trying to get a stage win and an ok result from Pridler
Vuelta a Espana
Florentino Marquez
Geoffrey Soupe
Artemio Moschella
Rudiger Selig
Delio Fernandez
Maani Altanzul
Thomas Bontenackels
Torkil Veyhe
Goal: Stage win + top 10
A stronger team than in the giro, lead by our spanish leader Marquez, giving him a chance in his homerace. He will get good support from fellow Spaniard Fernandez, German Bontenackels and Italian Moschella. We have also sent a sprinting team with Soupe, Selig and Altanzul. Without having any big expectations for them. The goal for the team is to win at least 1 stage and for Marquez to finish top 10.
Disclaimer: I know Veyhe is not danish, but couldn't bother to find a miniflag for Pharaoh Islands so used the danish one

I must admit. T-Mobile winning the TdF would be great Hoping to be the strongest TTT lineup there, but obviously won't really care about Taaramae winning with Haig being our GC guy. It's good news for Morton and his Giro appearance after all.

Of course i will cheer again for Taaramae to win the tour

New season, new look?
Last season was a huge success for the team, mainly with the win in France, however the team we saw from T-mobile last season will most likely not return looking the same at all. Rumours state that everyone except Buchmann and Preidler could be available for the right price.
Heine states that while last season was great there are time for changes and everything can happen!
