Was it not a new day? Thus meaning, 8 more riders?

Yes but even then SotD had bids on more than 8 riders.

Top puncheurs bid wars starting to wake up. Only a few hours ago they were still in very cheap prices

Right now it`s the calm of the storm.
Once the first signings are made and DEAL threads are allowed to open, the crazyness goes in round 2.
Same in case of one of the big duels is switching elsewhere and hence starting an avalanche.
In the end, good it`s in periods and not that big crazyness for 10 consecutive days non stop. |

Earlier on it was non stop madness for 6-7 days straight. If you missed more than 5 hours a day you would lose out on great deals... Luckily it isn't like that anymore - although it was very intense and fun

Quick PSA that I might be without internet from 4:30pm to midnight CEST today.
Music festivals aren't known for good connection.
I'll be here until then, alternatively I ask for your patience if you want to get hold of me during that period. I'll be all over this site after midnight for sure, with enough time to spare before the deals period starts.

Surely we can introduce a rule where bids have to be in lots of 1,000 since that's how it is for renewals isn't it? It seems silly to have wages that aren't in lots of 1,000 as it's annoying to deal with.

Certainly planned for next season.
Nothing like that in renewals either at the moment though.

Some like round numbers more pleasing for the eye and some like uneven numbers more. e.g. i think a wage of 98,500 or 102,201 looks much better than a 100k wage and Dombrowski being on 666,666 wage a couple of seasons ago was super cool.
And yes, it might complicate it for some managers because suddenly they could have done the min raise from 100k but dont have the cap for a min raise from 100,001. But this is why some guys use these numbers and imo that is a totally legit tactic that should not be made into a rule.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Ahh when you put it like that it seems acceptable for me aswell but I have Always believed People was bidding like 100.001 so that the next guys just reads wrong on bids 110.000 which would be a not correct bid.
I knows thats in the rules aswell but for me it goes under dirty play
But hey its in the rules so im not judging anybody. |

Could still be a valid tactic if wages were rounded to the nearest hundred, say.
And reduces the chance of anyone being inadvertently caught out by the unusual value.Though fortunately most do seem quite able to read numbers!

Also would like to make a rule that there should always be a divider when you post the fee instead of it being 50000 it should always be 50,000 or 50.000 etc.

Honestly it might just be me as an American, but the 50000 vs. 50,000 vs. 50.000 is way more confusing to me than uneven numbers.

In every excel sheet we get etc. there is always a divider, don't see why it should be any different when we do bids. If we are streamlining things either way.

Would be great if everyone wrote 50,000 in my opinion but I'm not sure if that's the general consensus.

If we are going to make a universal bid format then we should make people use the same one that is used in the DB and transfer sheet which is €50,000 including the € sign.
