In some ways, PCM 2013/14/15 were better. Unfortunately those games were (on my pc) unstable. PCM 2017 didn't have that problem
mmh yes, it's true, I realized now that you wrote...

Seriously, fuck this company. This game is dead.
They are making this game worse every year.
Last year the new layout of the menus and results was laughably bad compared to 2015 version and before, daily form with ridiculous effects, mountain stat calculation messed up, intermediate sprints from 0,5km to the line but mountain sprints 2,5km somehow, race UI immovable, cobble races and other classics laughably bad AI, time gaps of groups completely arbitrarily and not editable like way back in 2010 or so which destroys hilly races in GT's for years now, the career training system and fitness schedules a mess, contract or negotiations also laughably bad for a self-called manager game in its 15th iteration.
Plus the new game will come with hundreds of bugs like every year.
Sry for the rant, I'll still buy it anyway when it's cheaper like a lemming. |

Look, I have 500+ hours on PCM17 and I would really like to have a "well I played this game extensively and actually, ..." moment right now and correct false assumptions possibly made from just a few test races, but yeah, all of that is true.
And all of that used to be better in at least one previous edition. It's not just bugs or bad systems carried over for a lack of a solution.

In 8 years, Cyanide has successfully added Nationality and possibly repuation influence to negotiations.
Please correct me if i'm wrong... but i can see why i moved away from playing PCM for 200+hours a year to FM
So do I. Why don't they look at FM so they get to understand the word MANAGER. This game goes more and more towards arcade stuff. Be a pro-cyclist is ridicule.
Guess they are too few good personal in the company and perhaps focus on other games. It would have been a dream if FM company bought this and pushed it forward. They understand MANAGER-games, even if they too of course have their bugs to fight with.

It actually looks extremely promising his year. (I mean, even more than usual). Seems like they focused a lot on a manager overhaul, and especially the fitness planner (which reminds me a lot of Lachi's) is finally making sense. Also, a lot of really good AI improvement intentions that will hopefully work out alright. I might even buy the game this year |

For the first time in a long time, I'm excited about a new PCM release. Tempted to pre-order, but I also don't want to be disappointed if the release doesn't live up to what's promised (i.e. previous few years of PCM). I guess the beta testers signed an NDA, but are any about that could potentially sway me one way or the other?
When you can't decide between two options, flip a coin. Not because the result of the coin will choose for you, but because, in that split second before the coin lands, you'll know what side you want it to fall on.

i'm only interested in how are the limits of atribbutes in pro cyclist mode
if i choose main sprinter with secondary stage racer what's the max. atributes? i'll be a top sprinter 83 sprt 83 acc with 75 mon 75hill and 73 itt 72 pro or something like that?
i'm interested in all these mix up specializations main puncheur secondary time trial.....
of course my important career would be main stage racer with secondary sprinter and i'll win way more easy milan-sanremo or flat ending stages versus climbers, puncheurs, stage racers
i'll use the database editor too see the limits

And meanwhile broke the functional game with very nic gameplay and destroyed many more working features. Good job Cyanide, you are doing best to push all the fans from any will to buy the game one more time. I am not doing it, that is sure.

And with that in mind and Giro igniting me for cycling again, i have installed 2011 edition and it rocks like it always did. No single PCM after was good as that one, i am clueless why anybody would buy and play new edition when you have a chance to play actually great PCM. (ofc no pro cyclist, that is maybe only downside).

For me the biggest thing is that there is no current DB.. That's about it i think. 15 is alright as well though |
