Calm down a bit it's only california. Opposition was second class, especially looking at how McNulty was best of the pack. Bernal is great, but he's not a top 5 Stage Racer just for now. He has to prove something in Time Trilas and consistency on recovery/flat stages to be in the GT winner debate
He was incredible in Catalunya and Romandie, too. He's easily in the top 5 of one week stage racers by now, along Roglic, Valverde and Porte from previous years.

Intense ending to California. Always funny to see the wrong rider celebrating

Biggest mistake was move that tour into may, to compete with Giro (the best GT).
yeaah they got tour sprinters.
Still they fucked up great 1 week tour potential. |

Imo the calendar is very filled.. California has a space of its own and the sprinters love it so it's the best startlist they can get. There is no other place in the current calendar where they can expect to have major grand tour riders racing

When else do you suggest they have it? Also, do you really think there would be much more interest in this race anyway?

Gotta agree here. I can't see the race getting much more interest than it has now. Having the best sprinters in the world is good enough at this point. Cycling in the USA just doesn't appeal anymore really

Very nice of him to let Turgis lead the team on the hilly stage (CL also took 2nd overnight).
Meanwhile... Dion Smith! Very good race to come in on the overall podium, awesome!

And another solid performance from Eddie Dunbar - 4th in the GC and a future potential classics winner. |

After going easy and letting Gaudin win the prologue of Tour of Luxembourg as compensation for being crushed in Tro Bro Leon, Laporte takes the first stage with a crushing sprint finish
Also, VDP was second in the Boucles de Mayenne prologue defending his title of course, but another Cofidis rider, Godon, smashed everyone by almost ten seconds in under 5km! What a month (and season) Cofidis are having!

Stage 1 and 2 are hilly stages for reduced sprints imo, if not flat. But yeah a little weird.

Well I was just judging by the PCS classifications and the startlist.

Tadej Pogacar gets his first victory of the season by winning the final stage and taking the overall GC of GP Priessnitz spa (2.Ncup)
Looks to be in peak form for the Tour of Slovenia next week

VDP beat Bouhanni in Limburg s.t. Was that a sprint victory or late breakaway?

This footage doesn't clarify much, but according to some race reviews (and in a bad translated Dutch/Flemish) they do mention a final sprint. |

Slight uphill sprint and he apparently pretty much destroyed Bouhanni
Also Merlier 3rd, he's having a great road season as well.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Bouhanni has an awful season but it's really impressive that he beats the French here. Kid can do anything.

And now Consonni takes another UAE win in Slovenia. Groenewegen, Ewan and Kittel all held up by crashes, Cav didn't seem to have it.
