Yates is ET this Giro. Just a level or two above anyone else.
He's going to cruise to a 5 min victory as in the days of Lance |

You must have been wrong, because Dumoulin said only he, pinot and sometimes Pozzo were pulling, the rest weren't. And then he finally decided to just pull himself and they all attacked behind his back (logical, but typical). So whatever. |

To me it looked like Dumoulin and Pinot were pulling for a bit then immediately look behind and asking the others to take over. Only Pozzovivo really seemed to be putting the effort into the chase.
And Dumoulin shouldn't be expecting the others to help him there. Of course they aren't going to cooperate and bring Tom to the line when they know they are going to get crushed in the TT.

Pozzovivo only put "very few weak pulls" according to Dumoulin.
But ofcourse, the TV camera's only showed very little. They showed more Yates and Froome and even Aru
edit: ofcourse, Dumoulin even acnknowledges it's logical the rest dont pull |

The rest were two riders, Lopez and Carapaz, who will be way down after the time trial. It sure isn't their responsibility to chase the maglia rosa when they are 4 minutes down and have 5th place as their ceiling.

So are we getting out of the age of one british dude who uses asthma as excuse for doping to the age of another british guy who uses asthma as excuse? Great, just great

They have both their own race for white jersey, i think they dont care about other riders in the race.

Stage was very good from the descent of Sant' Antonio where Lopez attacked and Froome was distanced.
Excellent win by Yates. His level is way higher than the others atm.
Froome was weird, terrible for many days, best at Zonc, terrible again today. How is that even possible even with normal doping? Mechanical doping anyone?
The chasing group was laughable, what a bunch of losers.
The way Dumoulin caught them after getting dropped earlier told the story about how terrible they rode.

I loved how Dumoulin almost won that sprint as well (Lopez kinda blocked him there)
anyway Yates is the only one who deserves this race now. |

Maybe he isn't doping and just had a good day yesterday. I would think there are plenty of cases of riders having one very good day in an otherwise mediocre tour.
Not that I love Froome but one of things cycling's history does is make us question every performance. And doping becomes the explanation for anything slightly unusual. If Froome had been good today someone would have said it was clear evidence he was doping (he was weak and suddenly he is strong). But he wasn't good so now that is evidence he is doping. So not matter what he does it is evidence he is doping. |

If there is someone that is doping in the Giro, that is Yates. But I want to believe that this Giro is a clean one

I have a habit of not trusting dopers not to dope. I can't help it. So Yates performances here is hard for me to take. In any case, this Giro isn't giving me the impression of a clean one, that's for sure.

I wouldn't expect Lopez or Carapz to chase there. Only kinda scummy move I saw was when Pozzovivo pulled off from pulling to go to the back of the group for a second and Carapaz intentionally let a gap go so Pozzo would just pull him back onto a group he wouldn't have been dropped from in the first place. I mean come on, that's just stupid.

Now that I've given some thought to it, Aru performs much worst in the rain normally.. That probably was the cause to the sudden worstening in the last few days.
Think of Monte Berico Giro 2015, stage 20 Tour 2016, yesterday (and maybe some others in minor races that I haven't thought of).. Probably he should focus more on the Tour and Vuelta where it's normally hot and dry (he's always done well in the Vuelta)
