Even before Bernal 21 riders were over the time limit.
Not sure if the officials really cut them all. |

Bernal is a machine, a month ago he broke his collarbone now he’s breaking Roglic’s hopes and dreams
Or maybe something else is a machine

Suddenly feeling a lot better after hyping the crap of Bernal in 16 and 17.
Its a remix between Valverde, Contador and Rodriguez. Biggest talent since Ullrich - at least when it comes to climbing/GC. |

Always wonder how good Roglic would be if he wasn't a ski jumper before
Bernal is a beast though |

I came a bit late to say it but BERNALLL, Sky has probably one of the best weapons in that entire generation in Bernal, now when Sivakov is in top form nobody will even remember Froome

Wow Bernal. Guess with all that major hype around his physiological stats, a MTT a great way to showcase it He looks like an awesome talent, as others have said.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

20year old colombian Sosa leads the GC. Where are these talents coming from, and why does Androni have so many of them.
I recall someone saying Androni had another super talent in the making, not sure if it was this Ivan Sosa or Kevin Rivera they were talking about, but... so far this kid looks good. Fabrica de Bernals.
Both
I would hurry up and sign these guys if they are remotely close to Bernal. I thought he was much more of a pure climber, but it turns out he is a much better allrounder than I thought - very explosive and very decent in time trials as well. He has just insane potential, hoping for a Vuelta start this year and Im afraid of saying what I think will happen if he races. Andy 2007 |

It's not steep enough for bernal to blast away with his attacks, roglic doesn't even have to get out of the saddle

Very good stage, Bernal attacking looked like Contador vs Rasmussen in 2007 it was the first thing that came on my mind.
Fuglsang the smartest, Rui (preety strong and loved seeing him) lost the timing, Porte is scared of descends, Bernal and Roglic beasts

He does, altho Contador was NOWHERE near as good as Bernal at just 21 years (just turned 21 this year as well).
On top of that, Bernal has the scope to be a lot more allround. While Contador had a great time trial at his peak, Bernal is also mixing it up in sprint stages and seems quite a lot more explosive than Contador has ever been on shorter ramps. That can potentially mean he can mix it up in one day races like, say, Purito, who he also reminds of in some ways. Will for sure be a threat in a race like Fleche Wallone, already next year I think - again, Contador was never a good one day racer by any means. He mixed it up a couple of years in his absolute prime, but nothing more. Guy was top-15 in Lombardia as 20 years old, Bernal that is.
I really look forward to Tour of Cali which will test him on a 35 flat ITT, lets see how well he does there, and also on a big and tough mountain stage to Lake Tahoe. |
