The final month of the 2017 MG season starts today with the anual TTT test for the PT teams. 58 kms between the cities of Copenhague and Malmo, from Denmark to Sweden
Two teams stand out as the big favourites to win the event. First, the 2014 and 2015 winner, Jayco - Cobra9. and then Porto - Prio. Porto has in Fiedler and Zmorka two of the top4 timetrialist in the world, but Jayco has the better depth.
One step behind them are the reigning champions, Tinkoff, and Aegon. Both teams lack the ultimate TTT depth to challenge the first two teams, but they should be fighting for the last step of the podium. One team that at first glance doesn't look like a podium candidate, just a top5 one, is Gazelle, but they could the uphill zone in the Oresund Bridge, as almost everyone of their TT is a good climber, to gain some time on other teams.
No other teams has the skills to fight for anything big in this race, but both PCT teams, Carlsberg and Valio, Nemiroff, Spotify, Hugo Boss and Pendleton's should be the teams that fight for the rest of the top10 places.
Now, let's see how good are all TTT set-up for this event

A third win here would be so cool! Pleeeaaaase some good daily form to somehow upset Porto's dominating super trio there
A few more strong lineups like Aegon, Tinkoff of course and Gazelle with some good depth as well. Anything but a podium for Jayco would be still a big disappointment.

It's nice to get a wildcard here just to show our jerseys on home soil! Obviously no goals or expectations. Being here is the reward.

On paper it should be Jayco, Porto, Tinkoff and Aegon to fight for the win.
Not too bad. Gazelle as joker.
Anything less than a top5 here would be a desaster, top3 actually is the aim.
In the past my team was always rather bad in TTTs. Even with good lineups. So hopefully here it changes. |

Last year, we finished a very good 10th place here, but a repeat doesn't seem likely this time around.
Still, 9 teams look significantly weaker than us, so a Top 15 is the bare minimum.
Especially Aker and RBC need to end up behind us to get a gap on them. At the same time, Pendleton's, eBuddy and Hugo Boss hopefully won't be too far ahead.
Good luck Jayco!

Anything better than 22nd must be considered a success here. Not much more to say
Jayco for the win would indeed be cool, though, Porto must be the favourites. What a lineup they've got! |

Nice to see that I've brought the worst time triallist to this race
Will be interesting to see how the battle for the win plays out.

Two aims here - finish ahead of Strava in mid-pack, and pray that Tinkoff and Porto underperform. Oleg and Gustav, it's nothing personal. You're just in the way of my survival chances
Now watch as we finish in the bottom few places, Strava magic up a top 10 and Tinkoff and Porto go 1-2... |

I've been salivating for this race for weeks. Hopefully it'll prove to be the life jacket we need. Tinkoff with a solid team should at least keep us at bay on the relegation fight. Jayco and Aegon also possible winners, so it should be interesting.
@jph: no offence taken. Good luck, mate, but not too much either
@KO: after that list I'd vacate a top spot just to see the reaction
Thanks for the preview Aquarius!

A top 10 here would be a huge and positive surprise. I think we will struggle to make the top 15 though.

I'll very gladly take that 10th place. Especially with only Hugo Boss of our current rivals finishing higher.
