Damn, beat me to it, I'll post a nice profile at least.
Finally a poll where we aren't betting on 2nd place as well, thanks.

Thankfully Valverde decided to skip this. Erviti can put on his show once again!

GVA, Naesen, Gilbert, Lampaert.. many belgians rider who I root for tomorrow. Hopefully they will first ride together to neutralize and dispatch the almighty Laporte and then make a nice fight for the victory.
Who knows what's in store for Nibali. I think if he can get through the mess of the first 200 kilometers, anything is possible for him but those fights for the positions will be critical for him.

Both are too inconsistent to be considered real threats i think.
EBH did go well in DDV, but was still outsprinted by Vanmarcke who's not exactly a brilliant finisher. But he was waaaaay back in Gent-Wevelgem and a non-factor in E3. He could do well in Ronde, we just don't know!
Kristoff has been even less of a player than EBH on the cobbles so far, but he was 4th in MSR so clearly there is some sort of strength in his legs.
I think the two Norwegians will be more capable in Roubaix next week than in Ronde tomorrow, a race that suits them a bit better than the stop-start hellingen.

Agree about EBH, he should feature in Roubaix. Not sure about Kristoff though, he really hasn't shown form this year and, if anything, De Ronde should be better for him (due to the 'easier' cobbles I guess).

I chose the riders I see could make a difference on an explosive attack tomorrow. Granted EBH can do that, but, like it has been said, has been too inconsistent in these classics and I can’t recall the last time he finished inside the top-10 in De Ronde. I think flatter courses suit him better now. Kristoff is nowhere near 2015 level and I don’t see him winning unless it’s a bunch sprint, and even so... of course I could have put him instead of Van Aert or Naesen, but even still I think some riders like Lampaert, Stuyven or even Kwiato might be a step ahead of them. Just based off what has been this classics season and what have been the couple of performances from the riders, regardless of their physical limitations (Naesen, van Aert...). |

To me Kristoff isn't a favourite for the win, maybe not even a real contender. But he'll Top5 at the end

Really excited for De Ronde Laporte's only way of losing here is if he's ganged up on, or waiting for Roubaix given his doing well in France specialty. Though GW showed he's good in Belgium - and over the Kemmelberg he looked in control so only GVA, Phil or maybe Stybar* can drop him on Muur/Kwaremont/Koppenberg. But if they die trying then a flat finish after a tough day is a Laporte specialty.
*(he is a better climber than Sagan, see Ventoux, and better cobbler, see DDV where both Sagans DNF due to being scared of Laporte despite Laporte taking it easy)
