Good to see us trying to get in the break, though not quite managing it. Should be a good sign for the days to come at least.
A pretty good sprint from Caldeira tbh. Would've been very happy if he could have snatched a few points, but just a bit outside on this stage. Won't be surprised if he misses the time limit before the next one though...
Congrats to Meiji and valverde on the win!

Really nice by our team, we led it out properly and got Vantomme first in the bunch and Sobota 3rd, a shame Meiji had a guy in front (Congrats Valverde!) but while we want our first win since Febuary we still get the all-important points, let's hope the mountains aren't too taxing.
Really nice coverage tsmoha! Thanks!

Unfortunate Clifford didn't have the legs in the end, would've been nice if he had stuck with him. Congrats valverde!
Manarelli with a decent sprint in the end though, now bring on the mountains!

Surprised Kip was able to do something in a HC field. Good result by him! |

5th aint too bad for Van Heerden. Picking up results to show he is worth keeping, despite the often tribulations. Pity that Kudus couldnt steal a few seconds with a gap!

Nice job by Netia. They need every point they can get and this was a step in the right direction

What the hell was that? They actually made a train for Ranneries. Thanks PCM. Hard stage to take.

Well I was actually initially a little mad that Yudai Arashiro was our rider in the break, due to his leadout abilities but he seemed to be the perfect rider on a day like today actually, and he did really well. Amazing win for us, not one we were expecting, but I guess with Yamamoto as our strongest sprinter here, we will be a breakaway team on the flat stages.
Thanks everyone that congratulated us!

Anacona 79th. No excuses for that at all. It's his home race, ffs. With the GC ruined and Kip out, I certainly hope we can join a successful break |

Amador with a dominant win, just what he needed to be able to challenge EBH for the individual crown. Would be surprised if anyone can challenge him in this race tbh, so looks like it should be a nice battle between Amador and EBH Congrats on another win, Bushwackers. Things looking very good atm for you, with Schellinh in ToA and Amador here.
Good day for the home crowd with Amador close to being a local, and then Uran and Henao.
For us, not much to brag about. Quite happy with Gillett in 52th place though, but hopefully a break in the coming days. Caldeira and a lot of sprinters missing the time limit, hopefully that really opens the flat stage, where we need to be in the break.

Congrats UBS, Amador clearly the strongest again.
Úran with a great ride to come in second, that's about as much as I can ask from him this race. Unfortunately Manarelli OTL, so no chance of him picking some extra points.
Thanks for the report tsmoha

That right there might be the worst stage ever in team history. Right up there with Koep crashing out of 2015 Mid East. Everything I thought could go wrong did, and more.
Contador has to be the worst signing of last offseason. He has 79 mountain. 79. I don't expect him to challenge for wins, but he's consistently acted at least 5 mountain points below what he should be with no exception. Couldn't even tag along with the group for a while and get a top 20. Fricking useless.
Then both Appo and Ranneries abandon. I haven't seen a stage with so many abandons in years this early into a stage race in PCM. I just misjudged what was possible. I figured Ranneries might abandon, but Appo completely failed to DNF here, especially after only 1 mountain stage. That's 5 precious race days completely wasted.
I might as well withdraw my team. This is not what we needed to stave off relegation. And I didn't think we would do much anyway.

Offensive riding, I like it! And with some sprinters out of the race, maybe Gaviria can do something as well.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Thanks for the congrats, and thanks tsmoha for the report! Amador getting off to a good start for us, already in good position. Uran looked very strong as well though, the race has only just begun.
It sucks to see so many sprinters unable to make time cut. I'm happy Reinhardt made it, but with so many gone I would bet nobody bothers pulling back the breakaway on the remaining flat stage.

Hmm, Vantomme missing the time limit and we have 3 guys left in the race, Pedersen could save us by joining the stage 4 break though, he or Kanepejs better join that at least as it looks like they could 'replace' Vantomme, so I wouldn't call him, Sobota and Franczak dropping out an absolute disaster then.
Gratz to Amador! Though Minions doing well isn't the best for us.

A decent result for Duarte, around where I expected him to be. Hopefully he can maintain or even improve that level

Slightly confused in the screens, until I realised that Kudus was already wearing the U25 jersey
4th is a good result, but had really hoped to see him get those 3rd place bonus seconds. Amador tearing the race apart, as he really should - UBS on course for a very good month.
Quite funny to see all the sprinters fail, wasn't really expected!
