For the love of F..KING H...!

Why can't we have a cobbled race without David fucking up everything? 19 minutes lost... Clearly a crash and injury and poof!

Congratulations Moser! There it was.

If Vanspeybrouck only could have done a proper race here Sad what a bummer.

Saber doing great though. Not sure how far he will drop in the GC from now on, but he's definitely doing his best race in our colors so far. Gaining time on both hills and cobbles on Vanspeybrouck though? Weird.

Missed opportunity on Stage 3. Gastauer's main rivals attack and get caught, he waits for the final hill but only managed 4th, missing out on the win to a random David performance.

Glad to see Vanmarcke go for the breakway. Best chance of a win, just didnt quite come off. Shame the gaps didnt get huge behind, to allow him to build a better GC position from it. And my other cobblers reaaallly didnt have to wait for Gastauer there.

Interesting GC battle still to come, still a few potential winners in there.

Nice stage result by Stallaert, not much more to get here .

Weird to see Bewley being so boring and lazy in the last few cobble races. And once again, GVA strikes a huge win. Congrats to Evonik, Will be interesting to find out the standings after TT, that gap could be enough to keep the jersey. If he can keep it, then GVA is surely the biggest favourite to win it all. Bewley better to have a great time trial though! Pfft

That was a really bad thing to happen, feel really sorry for you! But well, it gives me a chance. Pfft I still think it is yours to lose though, you are still going to have some advantage after this race.

From last season's stage 5 results:

3Lars BoomAegon - Lavazza+ 48
143Greg Van AvermaetEvonik - ELKO+4'21

Boom is only + 2'48 at this point. He might actually be the top favourite right now. Bewley ofc easily within reach as well. Not sure what TT stat the other top 9 riders have and who is still a danger for GVA.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Always nice to have 3 riders in the Top10 but we need a lot more (points) to stay in the highest division.

Can we just stop the after S6? This GC situation can only get worse from now on Grin

Good ride from Durbridge for a change. Even though it's exactly those wins from other 81 TT guys, that I'm still waiting for. Hepburn not good. But improving in the team's classification is nice. The hilly stage should go worse though. Hopefully the flat stages will go better than the pathetic stuff that happened a couple of days ago.

Durbo on the podium. Sensational Shock

Very close at the top now, with four riders inside 24 seconds, and you really can't count out Van Avermaet at 51 seconds either. All set for a thrilling finish...

GC looking very nice now.

A bit of a pity that Bewley gained those 60-90s on the flat stage which now avoid Boom to get into the GC lead and having a "bonus" for the hill stage.

That said, can`t really complain as Bewley should have gained on the cobbles again.

If we can keep this, then our team goals look very nice for once this year.

Not event his we can do proper.

Looking set for 2 stagewins, top 5 and top 20 in the GC after stage 3, ending up in no riders in top 50 at all, and just that 1 stagewin...

What a way to lose the PT division...

Ah yeah. Not unexpected but slightly higher losses than i hoped for. Bewley is probably gone now but the podium is still within reach. A few gaps on the hilly stage would be helpful

I was leading by 150 before this race. So no. The advantage is definately gone after this race. I think it's safe to say that after this race you will be leading by 100 points, and then you'll have a cobbled and flat classic PTHC race where you are the pre-race favorite, so scoring atleast 150-200 points pr race is very realistic.

Getting a good result here from David was the one chance we had to stay close enough to claw back in Tasmania. It's not like we will score 600 points in Tasmania while you score nothing.

Wow missed a few stages but what a race we are having still Van Zyl having the stand out ride still in the top 10 and proving his skill set is just perfect for the PT with his 70+ in all the major stat categories shame Summerhill had a passive cobbled stage but he's still top 10 and that's all I ask from this race!

alexkr00
That went better than expected. Could Gerts make a brilliant hilly stage now and win this race before he is even maxed out? Shock Probably not, so I'll be very happy just to see him on the podium.

Kittel!!! 2nd win of the season, fantastic performance. And with the points from an earlier breakaway, a very nice points competition placing too. Race target certainly achieved for us now.

But woah, what a GC position. Bewley finally leads but will need something special against Boom and Gerts in the hills. Great to see Saber placed so well too.

Bewley making the Swift from Paris Nice and winning the hilly stage. Wink

The Cobbled stage was a little disappointing - was hoping for a little more selection up front to help Baugnies, and Gallopin and McCarthy both lost far more time than I would have liked.

However, after the TT things don't look too bad for us. Baugnies should hopefully hang on to his top 10, ditto Gallopin with his top 20. If McCarthy can move up as well on the hilly stage then we could end up with a really nice result here.

Zmorka outside of the top10 is a shocking result. It gets tiresome to get the wrong side of the sword so often.

Congrats SN, Kittel is a fine rider and this was definitely a cool win. Now if you could spare one of those Pfft
