Other than that, quite a cool race going on here. Meiji delivers big time on Asian ground. Betancourt finally making his manager happy, I guess. He looked good for a while. Visconti holding on to his KoM lead. Ah. Sometimes it's so much easier to follow neutral races

Betancourt actually being decent, didn't think we would get to see that this season
Some good gaps here, though you have to wonder what it would take for Ulissi to actually win a sprint! Great race so far from Meiji tho, congrats on that!

Stage two:
Drapac with good position but not enough power to finish. A shame.
Stage three:
Finally a decent race by Betancourt, top five in the GC would be amazing and would bring us back in the fight for survival.
Apparently you have to be named Tomohiro to win a stage here, so for the next stages I'm rooting for Tomohiro Betancourt and Tomohiro Drapac. Just kidding, major congrats Meiji And thanks tamijo for the reports!

Completely missed the start of Beijing. Levarlet not at the same level. Bought as a domestique to Dowsett before he was sold. A mistake looking back I think

Ulissi isn't ever going to win a sprint between the puncheurs at this rate
Amazing race so far for Meiji, with 3/3 on stage wins, while Betancourt seems to finally deliver for Minions. Hopefully "Bananito" can perform at that level in S4 too.
Great reports Tamijo!

Flügel lost over a minute in the last 6km and is now a minute behind 5th place and achieving our goal. Need something special to make our goal now.

Ulissi leading the GC due to bonus seconds by winning a sprint of two!
Wow. Must be a first this season. Good to see this happens.
Big stage for some teams here and for once a day of weakness by Kinoshita.
Kind of like this battle here for the top10 with changes from day to day.
May consistency win. |

Stage three went very well, but constantly following wheels on stage four and dropping a place to 5th hurts is a bit - only just hanging on to that top-5 goal here now.
Thanks for the reports!

Gotta stop by to say I love the detailed reports!
Great to see Vogt perform, also it's good that di Maggio does stuff again.

So Selander lost his low 20's GC place because he was called back to help Drapac? Not the first time this has happened.
Anyway, one of the better races of the season, and yet still not good enough in my opinion. Úran returns for the next race so I hope to score some decent points again.

I really enjoyed the racing here! And obviously, I enjoyed Visconti's KoM victory the most Quite some action-packed hilly stages as well. I never really liked the Tour of Beijing, tbh, but this year has seen some great action (do not remember last year's edition, to be fair).
And some great reports, Tamijo! The level of detail is quite awesome and - even though it's just a minor gimmick - I really loved the final short presentation of the classifications winners at the end of S5 Very well done. And congratulations to all, who did well here!

Not an awful race for us but certainly not a good one either. Caruso and Zingle 16th and 25th in the GC were inconsistent. Le Gac 28th in the GC, 3rd in the Youth and 2nd in the KOM is a good race for him.

Can't complain about Flügel trying to get time back with multiple attacks animating the last hilly stage but sadly it wasn't enough to achieve our top 5 goal finishing in a frustrating 6th place.
Pleased with 3rd place in the team event as Kraftwerk doesn't have much depth.
Great reports Tamijo.

Great race, thank you Tamijo! Very pleased with Reinhardt taking a win on the last stage, and a 9th overall from Reichenbach is good enough for me considering the field. Congrats to Generali on the win.

Well, this will definitely make Matt happy when he's back
A.A with an average race, achieved a goal with a top-5 at least. I still think our best rider is Ji by a mile
Thanks for the reports, they were terrific!

That does not come as a surprise Shouldn't have let him go just to train Bobridge, who's not doing better with his new HL stat
