So anyway, has Froome actually failed a test?

Well, because the Froome story will be the big one of the year and won't die anytime soon... Word is that the UCI LADS has passed onto the UCI ADT. Meaning the UCI believes that it has a case to bring against Froome and he will have to officially defend himself at a Hearing. Still no word on when that might be but if it's with the UCI ADT then it won't be too long (late February/March time?) for it to start (although the Hearing may well last some time, let alone any appeals to CAS)...
Basically we're getting close to some real news on the story and that we will get a definitive answer in the next month or two.

I'll just highlight "the program" reference here as I imagine Froomey at the UCI meeting claiming cycling would be boring without him. Well I just think the opposite. What a boring rider - what are boring team. Destroying cycling. |

Apart from the lack of charisma, Froome is not a boring rider. He attacks whenever he can. It's just that his dominance and Team Sky's dominance combined with their shadiness makes them very boring and unlikable. |

It is kind of like US Postal/Armstrong days but at least Armstrong destroyed the rest with pure class.

Adrien Costa won't return to cycling in 2018, and is very likely to have retired from the sport at the age of 20

I knew this was coming. I said it from the moment he took his extended break. You don't do that in your most formative years if you're not lacking motivation. What a damn shame. He really could have been something special. But it's his choice.

Can't say I'm surprised but I'm disapointed.. Not with his choice, I believe his reasons are more than plausible, but cycling is likely to have lost one of the most promising riders that I've seen in the last decade.
