This man is a legend.

df_Trek

Laporte zabels Coquard to take his first Vendee win, amazing! Grin Perfectly timed sprint and (hopefully) proving to Cofidis that it's time for Bouhanni & Soupe to lead him out. Cool

He's 25 this year and I think he's ready to take his first TDF stage win. Smile

Spoiler

Its good to see most people have now come around to Valverde, 5-6 years ago I felt like I was the only one actually cheering for him lol.

You had company Wink

Wasn't on daily that long ago though...

Well 5-6 years ago he just came out of a doping suspension and, if I recall correctly, he never really admitted to doing something wrong. I always considered showing remorse an important part for moving on, so for me he'll always have that doping stain, even if he's riding clean now.

I'm not saying I can't appreciate his racing, but when you would ask me to describe him in 1 word, it would still be "cheater" instead of "champion".
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

You could also replace that with 8 years or 4 years ago, but yeah, he just got back from a suspension there which obviously is problematic. But a lot of ppl have now forgotten that (same with Contador) and is appreciating the greatness now. On top of that he has gotten a somewhat unfair reputation of being super conservative which definitely isnt true.

still remember how he got massive hate in the tour 2014 bc for various reasons, year later he got his podium Smile

Johan Esteban Chaves won the queen stage of the Herald Sun Tour, and is now the new race leader. In second place finished a young Alexander Evans whom I never heard of but seems to be another prospect for the future of Australian cycling.

And Rúben Guerreiro with the top-3 and up to 4th in the GC. Cool

I always find it interesting how some riders are forgiven for doping despite never showing any remorse or apologies while others are hated forever, even before anything has been proven in the case of Froome/Wiggins etc.

Well, he certainly is, but he has beaten Daniel Felipe Martinez by only six seconds. He has a decent level in TT, but his victory is mostly due to his good shape after the TDU.

The Colombia Oro y Paz will be a more precise indicator to judge Bernal's abilities.

CyclingTips has written an article about the stage, he seems to be a talented former triathlete. He only ran U23 Australian Championships. https://cyclingti...olo-attack
