15 interested participants!! Exactly 15 participants played in the whole of last year, so we're off to a great start
Just Hillis and Jandal to go with their predictions for TDU. About 17 hours to go for the deadline.
For anyone else interested, you can join the game any time plus there's still time to predict the TDU. Rules are available in the first post of this thread.

Will there be a new "deadline" if Froome gets banned? Or is it on our own risk to pick him anywhere?
Or can I e.g. say Froome (if banned Rider XYZ?) |

This won't be changed. If you pick Froome, it's at your own risk.
EDIT: Also, you are allowed to change your picks as many times as you want before the deadline. Just mention in the thread if you are doing so.

Question 11. Does it count only WT races or every race counts?

Like the idea to see Thomas in another team, He is a so complete rider, and can be leader everywhere outside sky, in GT, one week tours, and classics

Podium
1) Daryl Impey
2) Richie Porte
3) Tom-Jelte Slagter
Impey did enough on the decisive stage 5 to Willunga hill to hold on for the narrowest of wins in the TDU. Richie Porte is once more the bridesmaid, despite having won on Willunga Hill for five years in a row now! Slagter completes the podium for this race.
Impey was not picked by any of our predictors, which just goes to show how much of an outsider he was. Porte was the most popular pick, with 13 out of 15 members taking him in the team. Slagter had one pick. There were two Aussie victories in the race, Caleb Ewan on Stage 3 and Richie Porte on Stage 5; only one member got this right. Diego Ulissi, Ion Izagirre, Rohan Dennis, Nathan Haas, Jay McCarthy and Rui Costa were among the very popular picks who did not reach the podium. Ulissi narrowly missed out, finishing 4th.
Here's how the table looks after the first race:
| Name | Races Entered | Bonuses | Points | | Marcovdw | 1 | 15 | 25 | | Selwink | 1 | | 15 | | Raziz | 1 | | 10 | | de_Trek | 1 | | 10 | | trekbmc | 1 | | 10 | | purepasd | 1 | | 10 | | United Forever | 1 | | 10 | | hillis91 | 1 | | 10 | | roturn | 1 | | 10 | | emre99 | 1 | | 10 | | FreitasPCM | 1 | | 10 | | jandal7 | 1 | | 10 | | AbhishekLFC | 1 | | 10 | | Aquarius97 | 1 | | 0 | | Croatia14 | 1 | | 0 |
Marco's pick of Porte and correctly predicting the number of Australian wins puts him 1st after this race. Selwink's inspired pick of Slagter, along with Porte, puts him in 2nd. Behind them, there are 11 members tied for 3rd, having all picked Porte. Only Aquarius and Croatia pick up no points form this race.
