It looks like I picked a rider without a contract for 2018. Oh well

Would be surprised if Marini didn't find a contract for 2018 even late in this off-season. He's a really talented sprinter, odd he hasn't been renewed.

Yeah, that surprised me too. I was sure he got an extension with Nippo until I checked while compiling the list above

Okay, not as good as I was hoping for but Doull was my #1 pick. Really wanted Meyer and Oliveira but never had a chance at them, Edmondson and Perichon also appear to be good choices. It looks like ivaneurope's three earlier picks were some of my only remaining selections (Denifl, Warbasse and Keisse) so I'll need to make a longer list this time!
It says in the PM only rounds 20-21, so can you confirm that it will be five rounds?

Yes. 5 Rounds. Must have been a mistake in the PM. |

Got my 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 8th pick, so I can only be happy. Sepulveda is another gamble, especially as he has moved to Movistar and most likely becomes a support rider only. Fingers crossed he can still grab a result or two.
O'Connor is probably at least a year too early, but I definitely fancy a gamble on him. Being young as well, you never really know what kind of steps they make from season to season.
Bystrøm, Edmondson and Offredo should be solid enough picks this late, I think, with Edmondson the only big potential scorer, depending on the role he gets in Mitchelton-Scott. Though, he could easily score worse compared to 2017 as well, after all he had some decent results this year, but I believe in his potential. |

Edmondson was a pick I considered as well but had him a bit lower than you.
Last year he had a solid cobbled season with Durbridge being on the up as well on that terrain.
But with Trentin joining I guess both could move into 2nd row again.
Personally hoping this is not the case and Edmondson getting couple of races for himself. |

I'm pretty happy with that round, disapointed to miss out on Banaszek and Oliveira - two really nice picks.
However, getting picks #2, #4, #5, #6 and #7 means I am extremely happy with my team this round. Particularly Navardauskas is exciting, as was an extremely high scorer in past seasons but apparently needed heart surgery last season before being cleared to train full-on in December, makes him a risk but potentially could have massive dividends.
Le Bon seems like a strong classics domestique going down to the PCT, could mean he becomes a leader and has a good season.
Herklotz of course we all know as the super talent, normally you'd expect him to be snapped up sooner but I guess he's had enough weak seasons that he has gone under the radar. Dropping down to Burgos in the PCT now could mean he has a stronger season.
Vendrame is just a strong talent who looks like he broke through last season and sticking with his CT team and finally I took a risk on Grivko's age given he's been over 300 points and higher in past seasons, I thought he'd be consistent if he's age isn't a barrier.

btw, can we have confirmation on whether this is the final round or not? Would impact my list knowing whether or not I'll have another chance to sign riders.

Yes final round.
Went through the remaining riders and already is very risky/unknown ones that are picked by now.
And as it`s Xmas etc. it`s easier to have it done by then.
Also 24 is an okay number I`d say. |

14min left and some of you didn`t send a new big board yet.
Some even without any riders left of last rounds. |

Already started the draft. Too late but you should have riders left for the rounds anyway. |

Bit of an odd final round for me, had a certain group of riders I dearly wanted and got only riders in that group, but still disappointed to miss out on Moser, Marcato and Schlegel, particularly Moser was a brilliant risk, Ozrocker, I was hoping to get him late (every round it seems like Ozrocker and Croatia have taken those nice guys ).
However, it does mean that we only have new nationalities this round, as well as 3 riders from Bahrain Meridia, also, oddly being the first round where we signed only WT riders, aside from the first round.
Rosskopf seems like a good rider, a reasonably safe pick who I think was hurt a little by crashes a bit last season, Americans on teams like BMC usually seem to score a little above normal WT domestique ability by racing American HC races anyway, which is good.
Haussler is a little more risky, had some pretty good classics seasons the last couple years but struggled with knee injuries this year, got fit enough to race the WC though and to get another contract year, so he could be worth it, though I'm a little doubtful.
Siutsou fractured his leg last year, missing out on a supposedly free element role at the Tour, similar to how he managed 10th in the 2016 Giro, so if he goes uninjured it could be good, though his age again is a risk.
Canty is simply one of my favourite riders, he rides for the same local club as me and I've seen him a few times in the mountains and at races and if I'm going to support him, might as well have him in the team. (same goes for Laporte... )
Finally Bole would score well in PCT, but he's in the WT, so no expectation for him, honestly there were probably some better riders to go for in his place, but as a last pick, he's alright.
That makes my full squad:
1 | | Giacomo Nizzolo | Trek - Segafredo | 66 | 2 | | Tony Gallopin | Ag2r La Mondiale | 903 | 3 | | Nicki Terpstra | Quick Step Floors | 417 | 4 | | Wout van Aert | Vérandas Willems - Crelan | 492 | 5 | | Jens Debusschere | Lotto - Soudal | 332 | 6 | | Jhon Darwin Atapuma | UAE Team Emirates | 307 | 7 | | Gianluca Brambilla | Trek - Segafredo | 195 | 8 | | Jacopo Mosca | Wilier Triestina - Selle Italia | 331 | 9 | | Taco van der Hoorn | Roompot - Nederlandse Loterij | 334 | 10 | | Baptiste Planckaert | Team Katusha - Alpecin | 320 | 11 | | Josef Cerny | Elkov - Author Cycling Team | 311 | 12 | | Sean De Bie | Vérandas Willems - Crelan | 57 | 13 | | Dries Van Gestel | Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise | 269 | 14 | | Damien Touze | Saint-Michel - Auber 93 | 233 | 15 | | Ramanus Navardauskas | Bahrain - Meridia | 77 | 16 | | Johan Le Bon | Team Vital Concept | 219 | 17 | | Silvio Herklotz | Burgos - BH | 150 | 18 | | Andrea Vendrame | Androni - Sidermec Bottecchia | 204 | 19 | | Andriy Grivko | Astana Pro Team | 213 | 20 | | Joey Rosskopf | BMC Racing Team | 189 | 21 | | Heinrich Haussler | Bahrain - Merida | 60 | 22 | | Kanstantsin Siutsou | Bahrain - Merida | 105 | 23 | | Brendan Canty | Team EF Education First - Drapac | 102 | 24 | | Grega Bole | Bahrain - Merida | 146 |
Finally a blatant rip-off of Alex's stats:
2017 Score: 6032
Nationalities: 13 (5 of my final 6 riders)
Teams: 19
Belgians: 5
Italians: 4
Bahrain - Meridia Riders: 4
WT: 14 (6 of my final 6 riders)
PCT: 8
CT: 2
2017 riders: 0
2016 riders: 1
Riders younger than 25: 8
Riders older than 30: 4 (3 of my final 6 riders)
Bit of a disappointment to miss out on team continuity, although I blame that on a lot of my picks doing well last year and thus being picked much earlier than last time, making it hard to have constant reappearances, was hoping to get Laporte at least but waited slightly too long - same for a couple other guys. At least Siutsou comes back from 2016.

Hamilton will win the Herald Sun Tour and Top-10 the TdU. So you got a nice team there
