Top 10 looking very likely for Anacona. That's good to see. Disappointed with the lack of attacks from my other riders but hopefully the bigger time gaps will make them appear in the next stages.
And damn, Suaza.
Love the screenshots of the gaps to give us clarity. Works much better than text sometimes. Thanks Roturn. |

2 riders out of the race after a fall, that sucks! |

Seems to be all MON there. Bad stage for us again, missed the boat (wasn't expecting to be top 3 though) and now we're way behind. Going to need a very good stage 4/5 to get something out of this. Nzeke is turning into a mountain breakaway pro though

Cool report.
Suaza really impressive indeed. Obviously he timed his move to perfection. Eastman with a huge fight, but apparently not good enough to compete with the best (good to see Penasa up there at the front this time). Bennett might have burned himself in the chase? Still anything possible with a good day and Xero with two Top-10 contenders can be dangerous.

Love to see that from Penasa! Very pleased with that ride and congrats to sutty. Suaza had some unbelievable power and stamina. It will be interesting to see if he carries that stamina throughout the rest of the stages, with his lesser recovery (and supposedly, stamina) statistic. But all in all, it's great to see 3P hanging with the top riders, and hopefully he'll manage to find the minute and a bit in stages 4-5 to top Suaza.
Cataldo climbing well for Tamijo, he's been quite the bargain! And despite Bennett's difficulties, two riders in the top 12 isn't too shabby for Xero.
Very nice report, roturn, felt like no action was missed. Thank you

Mixed feelings about this stage.
Nakane tearing the race apart was awesome to see but maybe he was too strong and burned Valls. It's great to beat Eastman by so far, but Suaza was unstoppable in the end. Unless he crashes (which i don't want to happen) Suaza has the race in his bag.
Anyway, a podium is what i expected and would be happy in this race, and it looks like we'll get it
This almost secures us our second goal of the season.
Wtf Cunego? 14 minutes after the winner? He is really underperforming this season, which really hurts in my hope of finishing in the top10 in the rankings. I was hoping that he could make us win by Teams here, but this way there's no way
And awesome report roturn!

Woah, Suaza climbing like Pantani!
Shame for Xero though that Bennet had an off-day. Pana also underperforming massively.
Really excellent coverage, Roturn, thank you!

Tough time for Eastman not to be at his best. Quite some gaps in there as well will make for a huge challenge to overcome on the remaining stages.

I'll take 5th place on GC for Pozzovivo thank you very much! Hopefully he can improve in the next few days (or hang on to a top 10 which is more likely!).
A sprint in Prato tomorrow then hopefully Opie can show his skills and grab us a few valuable points! |

I think we can mark this race as a write-off GC wise even at this early stage. Small positive of Krieger surviving stage 2, so we at least have a shot at stage 3. Hope the guys will bother trying to get into breaks now. Otherwise, it'll be as good as a no show.
Congrats to sutty and Suaza for getting redemption after Tachira! Thanks roturn for the report

Incredible Ian, another win! Congrats
