Quite happy with that result. Not a single attack and missing the crucial move isn't good, but we made the most out of that situation.
If Herklotz had saved some energy, that could've been 3 Top10s, but let's rather give him credit for nearly making the catch.
Can't complain about fourth in the bunch sprint for Kelderman and taking the gamble with Demare has also paid off. 7th, 9th, 14th and 50th gives as many points as second place with the rest outside of the Top 50, can't really ask for more.
Thanks for the impressive report jandal, and it seems like Sagan finally starts to be accurately depicted, congrats Moser for a strong start to the title fight!
Oh, and thanks for the nice mentions that I only read now, glad our effort was recognized!

Does this spell the start of a Moser-dominated season? Great result from Sagen
Quite happy with my team as well. Dieteren 18th is good for him, and Bolivar in the break is not bad

Lauching the Moser hype-train. Anyone else in?

Super impressive by Sagan! Big congratulations, Roman. After all it's hilly legends Bakelants and Trofimov he outsprinted, in a finish you would think suited both perfect. Also nice to see EBH up there, proving strongest of those who missed out on the right move.
And a super race for Puma with three riders in the top 14, which is certainly not a given when their hilly stat reads 82, 79 and 75.
Obviously not the best start for my team with Teuns abandoning and Beltran going down and most likely being injured, seeing he finished 20 minutes down. Hopefully this means we're done with the unlucky stuff for the hilly classics this season. If not, it's going to be a very, very long season
And thank you for the report, jandal7, very well written, also with photos which covered the race and action well. |

Rosskopf with a nice ride for 30th a very weak team put out by us here which will be a theme throughout the hilly classics hopefully the rest of the team can make up for it on other terrains |

Not the ideal start by any means for us. 5th "only" for Ponzi, rest of my puncheurs took it easy in the end it seeems, after all the hard work early on.
Still very happy to get the season rolling and fun to see my team animate the race aswell
Moser looks lethal yet again. Congratz to all managers who were smart/strong enough to be apart of the crucial move.

Great report jandal7, this dramatic opener had me on the edge of my seat, also Trofimov's 3rd place feels like a victory to me. Didn't expect podium places at classics this season, one downside though; rest of the team (Zakarin/Chernetskiy/etc) finished all around 100th place.

Solid effort from Sagan to bring this one home. It's going to be fun these hilly races throughout the season.
Not for us though. But I have to say seeing Gaspar finishing inside the top40 is very surprising. If Borges manages to produce regular top20s this might actually not be 100% worthless for us

Count me in!
Have to be really happy with this result. Even though Vakoc failed pretty hard, what else can I say if my rider wins a hilly classic in PT for the first time in my team's history. Already looks like I made a great decision to train Sagan and not Bewley.
Big thanks for all nice congrats and I also thank for the report.

Ouch, that puncture in the finale really hurt Ginanni's chances. Guess I should be glad he was able to fight back to 11th.
Indeed a good decision to train Sagan. Congrats!

148th Ion Izagirre? Well, if he will continue performing like here, relegation looks almost certain.
Thanks for preview & report, congratulation to Roman, very promising start in the battle for the PT throne.

This was dreadful, as expected. But thanks for the report, and for making me want to kill McCarthy already - 24th is disappointing considering he showed he was willing to follow the attacks |
