For some reason the stage editor for 17 and 16 don't work at all for me. It loads but nothing more. But what kind of help do you need?

I might be able to as well, depending on what help you need.

Thanks for offering to help. PCM16 and 17 unfortunately won't help.
@trekbmc and Abishkek: I'll make a folder with my stage files. It would be great to get some updated race routes for some races, this is something you can think about. Also it would be great if you then could help with making the calendar thread, by taking pictures of the stages and posting them. I'll contact you later or tomorrow to tell what can be done. Thanks. |

U23 Selection
Download: https://www.mediafire.com/file/2e6s21...ction.xlsx
Please open the last db and sort the riders by their team, copy your entire team and paste it in cell A1 (the red one). Then open the table U23 selection. There you'll see all your riders listed, next to them there is a field either colored red, green or orange. If its red the rider isn't eligible for your U23 team, if it's green or orange the rider is. The field will be orange if the rider has an average of over 71 or is already 23. These riders will also benefit from the U23 team but not as much as other riders.
Your U23 team needs 8-10 riders. But make sure your main team won't have too less riders then.
The added up wage of your dev team should be above 1000. In the end if you've done everything correctly K3 - K5 will have turned green.
If you want your team to have a combined wage of below 1000 you will have to pay a fine of 150% of what's still missing to 1000.
When done send me columns A-G of the U23 Selection table.
This has only to be done by teams with a development team. I doubt it will take long as most already have an idea of what riders will be in the dev team. Because of that I hope to receive all selections very soon.
I forgot that no budget allocation prior to research is needed anymore. I still have to check some stuff in the research file and will hopefully upload it tomorrow. |

Riders in U23 teams will get additional development points. The younger or worse the rider, the more points he gets. Still any U23 eligible rider profits from the dev team. |

Mine comes up as red. even though I think I did everything right.
K4 comes up red because J4 only counts G2:G34 instead of G2:G41, but I can't work out why K3 and K5 are still red.

I should check the files before uploading them.
As you guessed the one red cell can be explained because it said G2:G34 instead of G2:G41. Not sure what is wrong with the other cells. If I test the file with your team they turn green in my case. Maybe it has to do something with Open Office.
Anyways the one mistake is now fixed and the updated file can be downloaded from the same link. |

Yes, it appears the problem is with OpenOffice. If I had to guess, I think it doesn't understand the empty quotes in the J3 equation because I changed J3 to read
which seemed to work fine.
(Note: This works since I was marking the J column with a "1" to select the riders, but any other letter or number should work too.)

Research
Download: https://www.mediafire.com/file/2rauuy...earch.xlsx
#1 Enter your team ID in C2 your remaining budget will show up in the Total cell
#2 Put in F2 the money you want to keep for scouting, for both scouting and research you'll get a 100 bonus for each. The 100 bonus for research is already included in the Total calculation.
#3 Put the money you want to use for training into the corresponding cell, the Other cell will calculate itself.
Training
Additionally to the points a rider will naturaly gain you can add some through research. You can research on nine different training options. The result of research will be "packages" of stat gains. Researching for a specific rider type can bring you gains in all the stats that aren't 0 in the specific package type. One package will be used for only one rider. You can research a maximum of four packages of every type.
The numbers in cells C-O are the likeliness that you will get points for that specific stat.
To research on a rider type simply put the money you want to use next to it (columns P-S). You can spend money on as many rider types you like to. If you want to have several packages for one type of rider, so that you can spend it on several riders, also put numbers in the lines below "2,3,4".
The more you spend for one package the higher is the chance to get a lot of points. There is no minimum to be spent, but below 20 it can happen that there are no points at all awarded.
One gained point doesn't equal one stat point. The higher the stat, the more points have to be paid for the stat.
Rules for assigning statpacks:
There are limits in all the main stats, which currently may not be passed by a rider. The limits are 82(MO, SP, TT, CB) and 81(HI). A statpack that costed more than 100 can only be spent on riders with an average of 78,0 or more, if it fits the rider stats distribution. Meaning a climber package on a climber and so on and on an AVG 78+ climber can e.g. only a sprinter package which was max 100 paid for. The same counts for riders 76,0 or better with stat packs that costed more than 250.
However, I still reserve myself the right to intervene if a rider will become to strong to my liking.
A max of 3 packages can be used on one rider.
Other
In other you have the option to use the research money in 6 different fields:
Potential
Will increase the potential of a rider according to the potential package you bought.
Mediator
Can be used to lower wages during renewals. Makes it a good way to pass money into the next season.
Fitness Trainer
Makes it possible to increase a riders race days. These can not be combined, so only one Fitness Trainer per rider.
Potion of Youth
Increases the Age of Decline of a rider. If you want to increase the AoD by several years, you have to buy all the years in between.
Recalc
Recalc can be useful if a rider obviously doesn't progress anymore and it might seem like a low reached avg for his potential. Using this the hidden maximum for the rider will be randomly recalculated. This could end up as a waste of money.
By The mercy of the Grand Master
By the mercy of the grand master is only be available for riders that are born 1986 or earlier and all have the generic AoD of 33. Also it is only available for riders that have an AVG of 75,00 or less. It can be used as the first or second increase of AoD.
For riders with an AoD of 34 this can also be bought but only used once.
To buy one of these researches for one rider put a 1 into cell next to it. You can buy each package an unlimited amount of times, for that just put a higher number than 1 there.
Once you are done go to "PM" and copy the grey area in a table and send it to me. |

Oh and despite having not worked out yet how Scouting next season will work, it will most likely be more rewarding to keep money back for that than before.
I think you should know that before deciding how much you want to keep for that. |

This is a part I have no clue about and, to be honest, don't half understand. Not that I have much money anyway, but maybe somebody can give some tips. So I had just 20 left in budget and with the 100 bonus now have 120 and here are my thoughts:
- Mercy of the Grandmaster: Age-wise only two of my riders qualify and Fuglsang is too strong and I don't need Bibby's AoD to increase.
- Potions of youth (and recalc and potential increases) are too expensive for me (and/or not needed).
- Investing in mediators would lower wages next season in case a rider performs well and wants more than his min wage. Probably a good idea and inexpensive, though I wonder how much it helps - decrease the wage by 25 for every mediator (costing 10)?
- Fitness trainer: If I invest 40, a rider would get two more race days? Obviously my best rider would be my first choice.
- Training: This I really don't get, with the base stats and all that. Maybe it would help me if I had a real example, I wouldn't mind if Valgren's HIL or Schorn's SPR increased by 1 point. Is that possible? How much would I need to spend?

This post covers it - https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....st_1261521
Taking Valgren HIL stat as an example first you need to look up his BaseStat in the BaseStat table.
You will see Valgren HIL stat is based on 269 which makes him only just 75.
Check out the StatTable to see how many more points you need to get to 76, in this case 38.
Next check the Training table in the post to see how many points you can get, Hills training gets you 5 per 100 times the mystery coefficient 1.5 to 3.0.
Worse case you need 506 to increase him to 76, best case you need 253 to increase him to 76.
Schorn only needs 20 points to get him to the next SPR level so would be cheaper but at 30 years old it might not be worth the investment.
Training is a long term investment, extra race days for your top riders is a short term investment.
As you don't have any Pot 6 or 7 youngsters saving money for scouting might be the best move?
Hope this helps (and my maths is right )

Thanks, DaveTwoBob (and fjhoekie ). Ouch, training is expensive, I'll forget about it. But scouting? Does that mean I'd have a larger list of (young) riders from a region to choose from next season? Doesn't seem that useful.

The same list but more information about several talents that interest you on first glance (exact potential / exact stats or at least a more exact range of them)

So if I understand this right...
I have 70 of money left. With the 100 bonus of Research (which is not needed to use for Research) i have a total of 170.
Apart from that, I have 100 fixed for Scouting, whether i want or not, and I can put the rest of my money for Scouting if I want, what would make 270 for Scouting.
But i would like at least to explore if training can be useful for my riders.
First, can i train every rider i want? Even if he is 19?
If a rider gain a real stat (76>77), it's already for this season?
How do you assign the packages to the actual riders you want to train?
Also, one thing that i have not found is how riders develop. I mean, the stat gains per potential or something similar. I would like to know how my talents will look in the future, to see if is worthy to train them already
