Steep 0.8km prologue won by Oscar Gatto. When did this race get relegated to 2.1 ?

There is actually a new tour organization involved what I heard, maybe they are able to finally better leverage the beautiful mountains, the high cycling amateur interest and the tourism opportunities. More variance, better pr, create some hype. Good start with Denifl winning

I hope so too. Kept following the race each year as I spent many childhood holidays over there and always found it annoying how they refused to step away from the traditional Kühtai, Sonntagsberg, Großglockner climbs next to a Podersdorf TT and Vienna stage for years.

He touched wheels with the Sky rider (I assume it was Van Poppel)

Btw, Sagan wins ahead of Ewan

After Sky's Poles won San Sebastian, who's to say Sky's Poels won't win in Poland!

Sagan got huge support in Kraków from Slovakian fans (when I was going to the start I have seen a lot of cars with Slovakian registration numbers), during singing startlist group of his supporters was much louder than Poles during introductions of Polish stars. I was also at feeding zone, it was fun to watch when everyone raced for Bora bottles

Well, Sagan in Poland, Kwiato in San Sebastian, a little preview before their big duel at Worlds Grin. By the way, Kwiato won every 1 on 1 with Sagan (E3, Strade Bianche, Milano - San Remo with a help of tactics). I can't wait for the Championships Grin.

Brandon McNulty, world renowned junior TTer, also climbs with the best in the Alsace queen stage today.
Seems like Costa and Powless have another buddy with a bright future. I wonder if this generation learns from the Dombo/Boswell lessons.

WTF was that Sagan?

Dylan Teuns coming out of nowhere and suddenly the new Gilbert. I've seen this so many times before. Oh and ofc. his contract expires this year. I don't trust the guy

Out of nowhere? He was third in FV this year, and he was second in both LBL and Lombardia U23 races back in 2013

Being placed in u23 races means nothing, you can look at many of the riders doing well there, being nobodies in the pro peloton. If they even have a profesional contract. He has been on the World tour since 2014 with zero wins to his record, and now suddenly he bags 4 wins in a row. I don't buy it.

Having zero pro wins for a long time doesn't mean anything either. Just look at Benoot. I wouldn't be surprised if he still wins two or three races this season. Teuns doesn't come from nowhere. You only have to look at his results at the ardennes classics. I think it was only a matter of time until he wins his first pro races.

Great win by Theuns. Dusen is just pissed that Sagan got second and is now throwing around accusations out of nowhere. Business as usual.

Talking about throwing around accusations. Great hypocrisy mate.
