Thank you for the quick reporting, jph27!
5th overall is better than expected after the hilly stage, which is good. It's not a huge points haul, but they could nevertheless prove key in the fight for the overall placings.
Congratulations to SotD, there's just no stopping his team these days! Also big congratulations to tsmoha. Bobridge bringing home some vital points for them. The Aussies should be safe now, putting lots of pressure on Movistar, Gazelle and Pokerstars in the fight to avoid the relegation zone. |

As someone noticed, this was exactly the reason for Coppels training in the off season. I reckoned that it was the only training that actually made us capable of winning races, that we would probably not win otherwise, so instead of giving him +1 TT or Spilak +1 HI, this was my preferred option. So I'm very happy it paid off.
Clearly this was a very very good race for us, and Clement Koretzky would have been 18th if he didn't drop due to the split.
Congrats to those others who got a good result. And condolences to Jayco'z for losing like that. I know how that feels! Atleast some very nice points to take to the relegation battle, nonetheless!

Oh, that was close. Another great victory for SotD. Looks like they'll be winning the rankings in a landslide.
Also a great result for Bobridge. A pity that he couldn't hold on in the TT, but it should be enough to survive for tsmoha.
For us, it was a great showing from Smit in the break. Almost getting the KoM as an award as well, at least something positive to take away from this race.
Thanks for the reports, jph

Aargh! How close.. fair enough to lose it to SotD and Coppel though. But a pity that Bobridge hadn't his best day. At least the points jersey would have been cool to grab.
Anyway. Still a huge result given the pressure we had. Bobridge bringing in some good points and also a few more minor points from our TT guys eventually. If only Bobridge had that legs on final day.. well.. congrats, SotD! Great result for you.

A good race in the end for us, 7th and 12th overall is not to be sniffed at. Congrats to SotD on a thrilling victory there. |

Seeing Koren was ~20s faster than Boom, it is almost a missed opportunity as Boom might have entered the fight from 1st to 3rd with a better TT.
That all said, still a very, very overperforming team performance. Top10, top20 and almost the whole team then in top30-50 area except for Van der Sanden.
Definitely a great scoring race here.
Coppel with a great finish as well, yet another I-Gen power performance while also Jayco`z finish strong here and hecne might move over the line.
Thanks for the reports! |

Very nice TT by Koren, he difinitely got help from that temporary decrease in wind. Shame he lost time in earlier stages.
Overall a decent tour for us.
Congrats to both SotD and tsmoha! And thanks for the reports jph

Congrats SotD, always happy to see my former boy Coppel winning! And that is going to be some serious gap between you and the 2nd team in final rankings! Probably not my team.
Also nice to see Jayco getting a great result, could be a season saver for them!
Nothing race really for Becherovka boys.
Thanks for the reports.

Thanks for the reports jph, so little to say about our racing, or the race indeed sadly.

This year Trofimov has won every stage race he entered... except Tasmania

Only the monument Giro di Lombardia left. So final decisions will be made there with the following rankings being the one, that are hoped to be changed by some teams.
First of, I-Gen more or less won the rankings already having a huge gap to all other teams. Then lots of close decisions basically from 2nd until 10th or even further on.
Biggest step from Aegon jumping from 7th to 3rd, while Lombardia obviously could see other teams making a similar jump. Aker also from 6th to 4th and hence Vesuvio, Evonik and Pima with the drop.
Tinkoff, eBuddy and Metinvest for the final top10 spots.
Further down you see a nice jump by Jayco`z late in the seasons Bobridge and Goss delivered lately. RBC, Gazelle and in especially Pokerstars just over the line and actually having ~150 points gap at least.
This means Movistar, Orange and RedBull remain under the line and now need a miracle in Lombardia to avoid relegation.

Thanks for the rankings, roturn!
Looking good now. If Bobridge doesn't completely deny an effort in Lombardia, we might just have saved ourselves in the last few races of the year..

It's gonna be a close fight for the top 10. With Boswell not losing time in the opening stage here, I think we would have been safe

Thanks for the update! Our situation is acutally better than I thought before seeing the ranking. The gap to Movistar is significant and we are likely to outscore RBC and Pokerstars in Lombardy. I'm cautiously optimistic.

You are already safe, there´s no real chance how to outscore you for me. My destiny is depending on one guy: TvG. If he delivers, I´m kicked out from PT down to PCT. As simple as that.
Thanks jph for reporting and roturn for update!

Nice 4th for Ignatiev to end his career with Metinvest. Podium would be super sweet, but we got beaten by superstars and that makes sense. Thanks for the quick reporting jph27!
Congrats SotD, Coppel was awesome this year.
