After a week of submissions, we now know the 32 entries that will take part in the 9th Daily Song Contest in Athens which will start tomorrow with the first of 2 semi-finals. This draw was randomised by host broadcaster ERT and the rest was formulated by the producers of the show. 16 participants will compete in the first semi-final with 15 in the second - Greece is already quialified for the final and will perform in slot number 8.
From Scotland to Sweden we have heard rock, pop, indie, rap and RnB but now it's time for youto decide who will be the 10 acts to go through top the next round, 5 will go to the final directly and 5 will go to second chance. Athens, it's all been building up to this announcement, it's finally time to find out who will be going direct to the final and to second chance. Second Chance Qualifiers
Just like with the last edition there will be a second chance round for those who finished in mid-table in the semi-finals. They will have to earn their place through a duel against a competitor from the other semi-final. This edition there is more of an emphasis on the second chance round as 33% of the songs in the final will come from the second chance round. Let's see which five songs have made it through tonight...

Yeah, I'm in which is the best part of the results. Though I can live with the other qualifiers and the countries in the second chance. Sadly no Guatemala, while Finland is a bit too high in my opinion.
Don't have much to say to the second semi, as I didn't listen to it
But Slovenia just in the second chance round and Czech republic out completely are sad.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm extremely disappointed and actually kind of surprised by this result. I know I shouldn't be since the song selection this time has kind of seen the return of dance pop from last time, but honestly I think I have a better song than I had last time, and that one automatically qualified.
I really encourage everyone to listen to the full song for the second chance. It's quite long, I know, but that's kind of the point. It's not one dimensional whatsoever like you might anticipate from the small clip playing in the previews.
